A win is a win and I don't care if it's a last second field goal. Now, if we go there and absolutely beat the brakes of these guys, we're gonna be labeled Super Bowl bound.

To me, it has less to do with the Rams and everything to do with stupid mistakes. If we don't make stupid mistakes, we are the best team in the league right now. If we don't make stupid mistakes we beat the Rams on Sunday, no question. This team is good enough and coached well enough that it shouldn't be picked to lose to anyone. If we don't beat ourselves, if we don't carelessly turn the ball over.... sky is the limit. To hell with the Rams.

Yep. W....the only letter that matters..
The most important thing, to be sure.

There's a reason that points are way down on the tie breaker list. Too many random things can shift the score 14 points or more in just a few seconds of playing time. The ball is shaped funny, which leads to lots of strange bounces.

And this is the general narrative/consensus.

“Sam Darnold can’t win a playoff game”
And how many playoff games has he played in? And for the LOVE OF GOD it was the VIKINGS! The 2nd hardest luck franchise out there. The only thing keeping them from being 1st on the hard luck list is that their 4 lost Superbowls did not come in a row like the Bills did.

Since 1995 the Vikes - when they do make the playoffs - lose their first game at a .67 clip.

But last year was all Darnold's fault.

Well - the Vikes have a new guy now. How is that working out? Bad enough that they rolled out the corpse of Carson Wentz to start a few games.

You cannot lay the mantle of Viking futility at the feet of Sam Darnold. You just cannot.

To be clear I'm not saying Darnold can't win in the playoffs but it's definitely an open question.

Can Sam win in the playoffs? A reasonable question to be sure. We don't know.

My beef is with the narrative out there that he is an abject failure in the playoffs. That is simply inaccurate due to sample size and well....Vikings.

I know it isn't your narrative Nate! But rather the national sports media.

Of course he can win in the playoffs. Will he? That's the open question.

For me it’s a closed question.

Darnold cannot win in the playoffs.

Nor can any QB who is sacked nine times in the game.

There is a reason the Vikings used their 1st rounder on Donovan Jackson out of Ohio State and signed Ryan Kelly and Will Fries last off season. Darnold was running for his life the entire game. Yeah, he sucked ass against Detroit and owned it, but he was not the reason for the playoff loss.

Hell, the Ravens had serious protection problems at the beginning of this year and not even Lamar freaking Jackson could find a way to win.

People act like he’s 0-6 in the playoffs (not saying you are Nate). He’s played one game where McCarthy got owned by McVay and the O Line was as solid as a wet paper bag.

Legitimately beat them, not some lucky squeak by BS.

I PREDICT A SUPERB OWL BERTH
Yes, but if they win by some fluke, then they're not only going to the Super Bowl, they're winning it. Because you always need some luck, and if you're the team of destiny, nothing will stop you!

No pun intended but a great chance for Darnold to exercise one of his ghosts from last year

We lead the NFC West now. I say this game is big but I would entertain a split right now. That said, not sure the Seahawk D has played its best ball yet. We may see the Rams in the postseason. Tough to beat the same team 3 times in one season. Especially one that has Matthew Stafford, the GOAT (IMO) in terms of NFL pure passer. Seattle D has the most pressures in the league? Stafford not gonna be comfy back there. I've seen him have some bad games under pressure. Matthew, meet TKnight!!
