I expect things will soon get tough.

I thought the Niners did themselves proud last night. They just didn't have quite enough offensive punch to get the job done. The difference between Stafford and Purdy was evident but it was when Rams established the run they took steady control, little by little, of the game. It was a dogfight though. Gotta give the Niners credit for that much.
Like Aros said this year has been kind of crazy to the extent it's very difficult to make sense from one game to the next. If we could win out I would put the cherry on it and call it a banner year for the Hawks, regardless what happens after that.

We blew too many games early in the season while Grubb was dinking around and the defense was being sabotaged by Baker and Dodson.

Plus I'd rather wait until this team beats Green Bay before we start calling it anything.

This is all okay, though. Everything is trending upwards and a fresh infusion of talent next year could make things REALLY fun.

With the Rams barely working out a W tonight I expect things will turn down for a few games. Kind of disappointed in the Digits but they truly suck this year. We all need to keep the faith. In the end I have faith things will work out if the team can at last beat the Rams in their house. At present they believe they can do it. Suspect they will run out of gas. A split with GB or Minnie fixes everything if our boys can just beat the damn Rams.

Sadly I expect the next few games will see the Rams exult in the lead of the NFC-W. I believe my guys will catch up but it will depend upon the team believing they can get it done. Around here the negativity will become palpable if the Rams take the NFC-W lead over the next few weeks. This is the time of the season where we fans have to be fans and believe. Besides the whole league knows this team now has a good young HC and a D that improves game upon game.

We just need to keep the faith they will bear the Rams. I believe this will finally happen.
Phuck the Rams. After that shit show of a performance against the 9ers, I'm not worried. Rams are overrated and garbage all the way around. We beat them up the first time we played them. If Meyers doesn't miss that god damn extra point, we win that game. They didn't do shit against us.

I echo this. I didn't see the game but:

"Los Angeles' win over San Francisco marked the first game in 2024 without a touchdown scored, featured the second-fewest points in a game (Tennessee-Jacksonville, 16 in Week 14), and saw just 25 combined first downs, tied for the fewest in a contest this season. The 12 points were the fewest for the Rams in a win since Week 10, 2016 (beat N.Y. Jets, 9-6)."

Doesn't sound very scary at all......

Look, our season comes down to what we do with it, regardless of what the Rams do or don't do. I mean, if everything holds the first round of the playoffs would be us hosting Green Bay anyway, so either we can be competitive with those guys or we can't, and we get to see how that looks in just a couple of days.

But, uh, I'd hold off on anointing the Rams anything right now. Yes, it's a tale of two halves now that Nacua and some of their OL players are back, but the Rams still are not a great team yet.

When measured by offensive and defensive efficiency going into the week, Rams are the worst overall team in our division. I'm not pegging them as favorites against the Cards (and I feel like Jets are a toss up).

Division game, won't know what's on the line till it gets here, performance against teams outside the division I can't really compare, more so since we are still finding our identity, Bills, Lions, Chiefs are all the Creme at the top right now also. But we do know end of the season division games important to standings and implications or not are always unpredictable and physical. Ability to play spoiler, or play for pride and make a statement weigh heavily in them.

I believe I don't really care how the season ends. This year has been everything i've wanted for years and more. I'm happy.
Wow. Strange words to hear. From you But it totally makes sense. This is what you were looking for. I’m happy for you, man.

I’m happy for me too. What a great time to be a Hawks fan.

McVay hands-down is the best coach in the NFL and it’s not even close. No matter the players he has, they are always competitive. Every team has bad losses, but the loss to the Giants was downright terrible. This is a 2 to 3 year re-tool so anything that happens this year is gravy in my opinion.
Giants loss came in Macdonald’s Seahawks 1.0. We are on version 2.0 already. I thought it would be 2 to 3 years too. Now, it’s looking like we are retooling on the fly, and likely to cut that time down significantly.

Rams most likely win their next 2 games agaisnt the Jets and the Cardinals. That means we have to win at least 2 of the next 3 or week 17 is irrelevant.
I think the Cards can take them. Cards are the second best team in the NFCW

To be fair, they were playing in a monsoon, which made both teams uni-dimensional. If CMC had been healthy, the Niners would have walked through that game.

Looking like good weather Sunday, so...

Right now I'm seeing partly sunny with no rain and light breeze. Seasonal temps, so good football weather.

After two good wins, against the Bills and 9ers, the Rams have every reason to feel pretty good at this point. Rams fans will be for the Packers come Sunday night, as they should.

I feel better about this team than I did with any of Pete's editions over the past 7 years. I think we've turned a corner, got a number of guys healthy again. I'm excited about this Sunday's game.

It IS amazing how most the talking heads drool over Stafford and the Lambs. Doesn't even matter that they couldn't even score a td yesterday, they're still slobbering all over them.
