Fair enough, but they're both still damn good teams. I'm not suggesting we CAN'T win both games, for the record. Every team in the league has flaws, all of them. Same with the Hawks.

According to this attached graphic a won this week gives us a 76% chance of making the playoffs while a loss leaves us with a 25% chance.

I can’t speak to its accuracy but it portrays how I’m feeling about this upcoming week.

Every win we stack up increases our odds but we definitely can’t afford to let up know.
Based off of that graphic, I'd say the Dolphins entire season rests on the results of this week.

Umm..The Hawks have not faired well against the packers for quite some time.
I was quoting more on the lines of the jinx games like the Failmarry, The NFC champ game vs the Packers. The vikings with the missed 27yd field goal in the playoffs.. it was a bit tongue & cheek, but the humor might not have been so funny...

Agree. They both are very good. If we play both of them like we did Sunday, we are not losing either one. If we can drop 25 points on both teams with no turnovers, we'll win both games. We have to play well with no phuck ups. If Geno starts forcing balls it'a gonna be 2 loses in front of a national audience. These 2 games are our time to show the country that the PNW isn't phucking around up here.

I don't expect either of those teams to overcome our new D.
I would agree but that Vikings defense will be a real test for this Oline with their league high 41% blitz rate.

Deep, healthy DL and "good enough" OL determines the outcome of both. SDarnold, JLove and Geno have all had great games/moments and relatively poor games dictated by time and comfort in the pocket. Both Line groups are trending up so that bodes well...but nowhere near the level of predictably overpowering. ...that's why they play the game... Most likely split 1/1.

I don't think the PNW is on the roster

The pundits have long had the Packers penciled in as a wildcard team but ponder this:

If Seattle beats Green Bay, then they get the head-to-head tie breaker with the Packers. This means that the Rams could win the West and Seattle could realistically take Green Bay's place as the final Wild Card team, excluding the Packers from post season altogether. That....is how important this game is. Not a single pundit in the country has given this line of thinking relevance. Every last one of them has the Packers portrayed as an automatic qualifier.

This is EXACTLY what would happen if both Seattle and LA win out until their week 18 meeting. Then that final game would be for hosting a playoff game with Seattle having already clinched a playoff berth and LA already clinching a berth if the Vikings defeat the Packers in week 17. Another scenario, if Seattle and LA win out until they meet, would be Seattle having already clinched at least a Wild Card and the Rams needing to beat Seattle and win the West to get into the playoffs (If Packers beat Vikings in week 17).
Also, it’s important to know that Washington has the same record as we do, so we can still get in as a wildcard if we finish ahead of the Commanders.

Yeah, writing us off as WC possibles so early in the season was way premature. Still have to keep winning, though, if we want to get in the playoffs.

The rams schedule looks easy - but they do play two division foes.

The Cards and the Niners are not going to lay down for the lambs by any stretch. Division games are brutal - hatred abounds.

Would not surprise me in the least to see the 9ers or the Cards drop an L on the rams.

To the thread title, if we can only win one game of our remaining four I hope we win vs the Rams.

If we only win one game we probably don’t make the playoffs which is what makes this game so important. Sure it likely comes down to the final game but not if we lose 3 and the rams win 3.

3 non divisional opponents I always want the Seahawks to beat no matter what:

1. Green Bay Packers
2. Dallas Cowboys
3. Pittsburgh Steelers

Any of these games to me are always important no matter what Seattle’s record (or their record) at that time is, I always want Seattle to win these particular games.

For non divisional rivals, man, I personally hate these teams, so, this game against the Packers is very important to me!

To answer the OP question: About 2.5 times as important as it would have been had the Hawks taken care of the Giants.

My list includes Broncos. Don't ever want to lose to those...

I understand this.

Since, the Broncos, are historically an original divisional rival, along with the Raiders, Chiefs and Chargers, any of these teams can be included as a hated team, but since none of these teams have either or not been recently competitive with Seattle, I don’t care as much.

The Broncos got beat so badly by Seattle in the Super Bowl, I don’t very much, care if the Broncos win one or two games (regular season or pre season games) like it doesn’t matter cause they got smashed so badly, no other non Super Bowl game, I just dismiss them entirely now.

The Chiefs are of course very successful but since the Chiefs have no real beef or rivalry with Seattle in this common era, I can’t hate them.

The Raiders: they have so many issues in these past 20 years that I don’t mind them. Back in the AFC West (Bo Jackson and Bosworth days) yea you can hate them but their franchise has been in the toilet for so long and have even left Oakland, that I have nothing against them. Actually, feel bad for their real fans that have lost so much because of their issues with city of Oakland and the Davis family, etc.

Screw, The Packers, The Cowboys and The Steelers!!!
