You always hope that you improve your roster during the off-season, and that your additions will be greater than the subtractions. But not all the moves end up working out the way you hoped. Here's a look at some of the players who were on the Seahawks last year and how they're doing this year:

Linebacker. There are four--count 'em--four linebackers who are starting for other teams this year: Bobby Wagner is ranked 4th among linebackers on PFF with a grade of 83.9, Devin Bush is tearing it up for the Browns with a grade of 76.0 (13th). By comparison, our LBs are 22nd (Baker 70.9) and 27th (Dodson 67.7). Jordyn Brooks is 43rd with a grade of 63.6 and Cody Barton is 59th with a grade of 56.4.

Guard. Damien Lewis is 20th with a grade of 72.4. Not bad, compared to Laken Tomlinson (32nd, 65.7) and Anthony Bradford (72nd, 46.4)

Tight End. Will Dissly, now playing for the Chargers, is 16th with a grade of 67.3 and Colby Parkinson is 18th with a grade of 66.4. AJ Barner is 17th with a grade of 66.7 while Noah Fant is 30th with a grade of 61.3.

Safety. Quandre Diggs is having a solid year with the Titans, with a PFF grade of 74.2 which is good for 15th among safeties. By comparison, Julian Love is 10th with a grade of 80.1.

Edge Rushers. Darrell Taylor is having himself a solid year with the Bears, as the 31st ranked edge rusher with a grade of 71.1. Our edge players are: Derrick Hall (27th, 72.8), Boye Mafe (34th, 70.2) and Dremont Jones (106th, 50.1).

Don't forget D.J. Reed. He's the third-highest-rated nickel corner, with a grade of like 87. I still can't believe we let that guy walk.

I was just looking at players who were with the Seahawks last year. But yes, DJ Reed is a good player.

Too bad all our guys suck at PFF. Washington I think is the only team with more wins than Seattle though. I'll have to console myself with that.

How is Evan Brown doing? Frank Clark? Deejay Dallas?

Phil Haynes I'm sure is ripping it up somewhere...

Evan Brown is the starting LG for Cardinals, 340 snaps later, he yielded 2 sacks, 4 hurries, no hits and one penalty. Better than Bradford or Tomlinson.

How is Michael Jackson doing in Carolina? I assume better than Michael Barrett, but how much better?

Mike Jackson is doing okay, he's ranked 48th among cornerbacks with a grade of 63.9. Not as good as Riq Woolen (9th, 76.9) or Devon Witherspoon (18th, 75.0), but much better than Tre Brown, who is one of the lowest rated corners in the league (89th, 52.0). Which only goes to show you, you can never have enough talent at that position, especially now that both Woolen and Brown are out injured.

I think most of us believe that Schneider was fleeced in that deal, trading a starting NFL corner for a marginal practice squad player who was going to be released anyway. It would have been better to hang on to Mike Jackson. Michael Barrett was on the Brown's practice squad briefly after being released by the Seahawks. He's already out of the league now.

Uncle Will is having himself a game tonight
For whatever it's worth, PFF gave Wilson a so so rating of 64.1 with a 60.7 passing grade for his game, that career backup Geno got a 69.1 with a passing grade of 78.9.

Wilson fanboys on dot net disagreed :)
