Only nine of the skill position guys I'd want to see in there.

I don't think Earl Thomas is gonna make it.

Would love to see Earl and Kam get in together, but safety is a hard sell as they just don’t last as long, career-wise, as other positions.

Earl's a lock, just a matter of when. He's almost definitely in before any other Seahawk on that list. No chance for Kam.

That's a weak class overall though. Maybe we can get Earl and Lynch in on the same class. Might be Marshawn's best chance in a while because there are some very good backs becoming eligible soon, but I think the voters aren't going to see him as first-ballot.

As much as I didn't like the Rams and Torry Holt, it is a crime that he isn't in the HOF. Put him in.

Earl is the best secondary player on that list. Kam could've been if he had a longer career maybe. Without Earl you can't run that single high safety as well as we did, and that says something since that defense/secondary should be in consideration as best of all time. He is absolutely one of the best safeties to ever play. And even if you just go by all pros and pro bowls he is the best secondary player on that list. He also made the all decade team. He should be a lock.

Yep...there have been some great free safeties (Reed, Dawkins, Lott) but none had his ability to cover over the top as good as Earl. Earl may have been smaller and not quite as explosive a tackler as those guys, but he could still lay the wood and was great in the box.

Mad respect for his playing abilities.

I really hope Lynch, Sherman, Earl, Wilson, Kam all get in from the all time great team. I also think Alexander should.

If I had to pick one non Seahawk I would love for Steve Smith Jr to get in.

Ugh…

Time is like a roll of toilet paper. The more you’ve used, the quicker it goes.

To see Kuechly and Earl on a list of eligibles for the HOF trips me out. It seems like yesterday to me they were drafted. Heck, I remember being bummed when Bwags lost DROY to Luke.

I find myself reminiscing about events with people sometimes and I say …”Oh yeah, when was that again, like 3 years ago?” Only to look it up and see it was like 8 years ago.

On topic though… Don‘t let the off the field light blind you. If you saw Earl Thomas play in his prime, you witnessed something special. Those corners could take high reward risks exclusively because Earl was able to cover ground better than just anyone who has played this game. Ask Gronk how good ETIII was.

If Earl gets in...will he wear his crown and gold jacket to give his speech? ... or cape? Hmmmm.... if it's all about ratings Rog, this might be a chance to sell some ad space.... That'll go viral and be meme'd for a decade every time HOF list come out.

Too many dropped picks, too short a career, too much nonsense afterward. I'm not disputing his importance to the defense, but I don't think ANY of them will get in.

You may be right? The NFL HOF historically has been a little different than say baseball where longevity matters more. If you were a crucial piece of what many consider the best defense of all time that tends to get people in or at least has at times in similar situations. I think Earl and Sherman should for sure as they were the two best at their positions for years on the greatest defense ever. I think Wilson is a lock too (lets not derail this thread lol) and that leaves Lynch, Kam. I think both should get in for their impact to the game but not super confident they get in.
