Switched from Champagne to spritz in the morning and switching from Whiskey to Vodka for happy hour. You're on quite the heaters with your takes this week.
Sounds like you are having a happy day, and a not so happy morning tomorrow lolSwitched from Champagne to spritz in the morning and switching from Whiskey to Vodka for happy hour.
So if you are going to coach a team, and you are an OL guru, don’t you wonder if it team has had a track record of bringing in that “talent” and “spent all that money” has bad talent evaluation. If I’m the new coach, am I going to get stuck with sloppy second scabs or is there going to be a change in the type of talent that is brought in. JS needs to fix the interior OL.No, we have spent a shit ton of money and draft capital on the O-line. We just haven't been good at it.
Not only is Fraley staying on as offensive line coach, but he's also been promoted to run game coordinator as well.
If that was his mindset going in he should not have interviewed then…seems like a waste of our time if he were using us as leverageMore pay (maybe not OC pay but a bump), no need to move across the country and uproot his family, stay with a winning franchise, no need to rebuild an entire Oline from scratch, chance to increase his stock more if the Oline play next year in DET stays the same or gets better, job security and staying with a staff and team you've already built great rapport with.
I get it. I wanted him to come over too, but I get it. I wouldn't say he's a loser for it.
But not OC which tells me he's not ready yet...As I suspected, Campbell is promoting him:

Or he didn't like Seattle's offer, or as I stated before a lot of the talk was to pair him with someone to run the offense with him almost like you're splitting OC duties. Perhaps he felt that notion was not giving him enough credit to run things or that he had to be babysat. Regardless he didn't take the job and it is what it is.If that was his mindset going in he should not have interviewed then…seems like a waste of our time if he were using us as leverage
How would we have known that?If that was his mindset going in he should not have interviewed then…seems like a waste of our time if he were using us as leverage
Yep.Maybe it's time to consider that this isn't that coveted of a job.
Fraley knows he has job security with Campbell. Here, he'd be moving across the country to take a chance on himself in a new position, where the last guy to hold that position was fired after just one season. Maybe it's too risky for him, especially with no long-term solution in place at QB.
It's still a job with considerable responsibility in the nation's premiere sports league. We won't get nobody, but I think there's a good chance we may have to take a gamble like we did with Grubb.
That’s not much of a promotion….As I suspected, Campbell is promoting him:

or this job isn’t as nice as we think it is. I still think this fan base overrates their aging QB and the line is terrible. But not OC which tells me he's not ready yet...
A promotion and more money usually Trumps that concern..or this job isn’t as nice as we think it is. I still think this fan base overrates their aging QB and the line is terrible.
We don't spend money on the OL. That's the issue. On top of being terrible at drafting and then not resigning. No, we have spent a shit ton of money and draft capital on the O-line. We just haven't been good at it.
Could be that or it could be he has a comfort level with Campbell and feels he's progressing towards OC. He did get 2 interviews. But not OC which tells me he's not ready yet...
