The Seahawks traded Wilson in March 2022. They definitely could have traded him at least 1 year earlier. The cap situation would not have significantly impeded a trade. The Eagles trading Wentz to the Colts had a greater cap impact than a potential 2021 Wilson trade. There was a trade offer from the Bears that some fans considered to be fair. Not trading Wilson was a choice, as was trading him a year later.
Did Russell want to go to the bears? Remember, there was a no trade clause he could waive if he wanted to, the team couldn’t just trade him where they wanted.

The point is we know there was at least 1 offer, and that was without the Seahawks shopping him. We also know he turned down an offer from Washington. He had a list of teams he was willing to entertain. I don't remember who was on it. It didn't matter who was on the list in 2021 because Carroll said 'no'.

Cowboys, Bears, Raiders, Saints was the 2021 list that was floated. I remember hearing something about Russell vetoing a trade to Philly as well.

From the five destinations, one can fairly say the Raiders may be the one Geno wants to go.

Funny how bad teams with rookie QBs like Commanders this year and Texans last year have far more post season success than the Seahawks with Geno.

"But but but we might have a DOWN year and not be at least mediocre for a year! ONE or TWO players away!!!" It is bullshit and this forever mediocre treadmill needs to end.

Get rid of Mr. Mediocre AND John Schneider. Have a down year. Get a top QB on a rookie deal and prosper.
You aren't wrong.

Neither Wilson of Geno will be in Vegas, Pete knows what Limitations Wilson puts on the offense that and his declining skills, Wilson was a John choice not a Pete one, also trying to get him fired, pretty sure you don't forget that shit. This off season there are going to be a good amount of F.A. QB's available, draft sucks but free agents I could see something happening.

Birthday Party is not a Football team, I didn't say they were mortal enemies, Pete forgives and is loyal to a fault, but he also won't put a offense under duress that has had issues for the last 10 years at QB.
And Wilson wasn't invited, but he surprised Pete by showing up unannounced. So there's that.

Russ just had an interview where he was super respectful of Pete. A lot of stuff floated out by people is wrong.
Gullible much, it's already been documented, also Wilson is looking for a job, he has always been one to try and say the right things, he is himself an unreliable source.

Nah he's been respectful of Pete, they've hung out at multiple events together and even if they disagreed on some stuff they still respect the hell out of each other. I think the gullible are the ones who think Russ is this terrible person who everyone hates....that's gullible.

You buy the say what people want to hear and what suits his agenda stuff, that's fine, I don't think he is a terrible person, insincere, phony, egotistical yes.

I got it all wrong, it wasn't a birthday party but Russell did surprise Pete. And Russ read about the party so he wasn't invited.
Yeah, sounds like they hate each other.🙄 You guys are seeing what you want to see here.
