They are not tippy toeing, they are stomping in your direction... you cannot ignore them. Here they come. You had better be ready, or the reigning/defending two time NFC champions will knock you off.

Enough with the refs gifting the Seahawks the game against Detroit. That's stupid.

Does Skip Bayless fly in a private jet? Does he ride a bus like Madden? How have we not heard about him getting his face punched repeatedly by fan of {insert the name of ANY NFL, NBA, MLB team here} as said fan walks through first class to get to his coach seat?

If I saw that mug of his as I started walking up the aisle, I'd be SORELY tempted...

Yeah, I would agree with them that the Panthers and Cards are the teams to beat in the NFC right now. As we get deeper into the season there are teams ascending and others dropping but those two have been most consistent in the conference.

Need to take care of the Ravens and come get some home-cooking. Cannot afford to revel in the past just win the games you should and hopefully stay healthy.

God this.

The ball was going out of bounds regardless, REGARDLESS. If it wasnt touched by KJ, we win REGARDLESS. It wasnt a gift. It would have been a gift if that epic turnover was negated by a stupid penalty that had no bearing on the play.

And yet the phantom facemask in GB still gets no air time.

Stephen A., Bayless and Prisco all said good things about the Seahawks this week. I feel unclean. Is this a sign of the Apocalypse?

I don't think it's a matter of taking ESPN FIRST TAKE as a whole seriously, more than it is a matter of a Seattle team, whose play has been up and down all season, begin to garner the attention that they deserve.

Do you disagree with what was said by Stephen A. Smith about this team? If so, I would love to hear your opinion on it. Hard to take anybody seriously who dismisses spot on analysis, because they have a personal disinterest in the particular talking heads.

I will not click the link. Watched them enough to know they are trash.

Spot on Analysis?

:thirishdrinkers:

The dumbing down of America has even reached sports news.

They happen to have something you agree with now. They have been linked 1000 other times for how dumb they are. Usually starts with, "i don't usually agree with First Take, but this time they nail it!"

This is damage control, now they can say they were right about something and cherry pick this later when everyone has been down on us up until now.

Exactly! Damage control by them so they can attempt to look good at some point.

Stephen A picked the Hawks to go to the superbowl and stood by his pick even when we we're stinking. I don't like or care about Stephen A Smith, but I thought I'd at least give him that.

i have mixed feelings about this show

they are writers, not sports analysts. They dont really go in depth. They talk a lot without saying much. It's very low level sports talk. Skip Bayless is a bandwagoner who says stuff like "my patriots". It's annoying. All he cares about is when he gets a prediction correct. He was so incredibly happy when the pats beat us the super bowl.....yet he claims hes a cowboys fan? uhh ok whatever. He purposely contradicts himself for the attention. You just cant take him seriously at all.

I see where you are coming from. I'm mainly referring to Stephen. A, as Skip Bayless has always played the combative and arguementive protagonist. It's his character, what he gets paid to do (create controversy). It's a role that almost always eventually has him retracting his statements and admitting he was wrong in his views. It's part of the reason Sherman layed into him a few years back.

Stephen. A, even with his long and tyrannical rants, does seem to be the more unbiased of the two. And seeing as how he chose Seattle to win the Superbowl this year, even when we seemed like a shell of our former selves, it just seemed nice to hear someone outside of Alaska NW who "gets it".
