Is it me or have we focused so much on issues at guard and RT that somehow Connor Williams has slipped under the radar. He’s been shockingly worse than I thought he’d be. If he’s not snapping it like he’s coked up having a seizure he’s getting steamrolled. Is it just me? I thought center would be a strength after his signing. Man it’s seemed bad but not discussed as much as RT and RG.

He's probably our second-best OL and a good value for what he's being paid. He's just been involved in a few bad-looking plays lately that give the impression he's been worse than he has been.

If you don’t just look at the snaps that Geno lost, you’ll see that his shotgun snap is just plain atrocious. Geno is chasing the snaps all over the place. He must feel like he’s trying to catch tennis balls from one of those oscillating tennis pitching machines, that throw the ball randomly. It’s awful.

A turkey sandwich could be the second best blocker on this team. I thought Conner would be better, but he hasn’t been too terrible… as a pass blocker. I haven’t seen “push” all season in the run game.

I was thinking the same thing. He was getting abused and had some bad snaps
Not good center play today.

The snap was on the money, Geno just let it slip through his hands. Also bogus holding call on long ball down the middle to JSN
Yeah, first blown snap this game was 100% on Geno and I agree that holding call was ticky tack nonsense.

That said, there was a second blown snap which looked like that was on Williams snapping the ball early and a lot of his snaps always seem to be in danger of coming in too high. Additionally, he got beat pretty bad on some of the plays this game and when your center is pushed back, the idea of stepping up into the pocket goes right out the window.

There was too much wrong from too many spots to put this game on Williams, but along with Geno, he's one of the only two guys who's touching the ball on every offensive play. When those two guys aren't in-sync the entire offense isn't in-sync and they've both been very unsettled the last two games.

When grading O-Line play the percentage of good snaps isn't the key, it's the percentage of bad or 'less than adequate' snaps.

Greg Robinson was a good O-Line player for the Rams on 80% of snaps. It was the 12-15% of snaps that were awful that were drive killers. Even at 95% it's 2 really bad snaps per game.

There were reasons Miami didn't re-sign him and now we know why. The epitome of a Seahawk Oline. JS needs to look at this position group in order to improve this team, it should be the most important focal point.

It's not just you. And I don't usually comment on threads like this. Several bad and questionable snaps and some serious blocking issues had me wondering if Olu was really that bad...

Centers and guards have to work together like no other group on the field. We've been talking a lot about guard play. Maybe the center isn't helping.

Meanwhile the Rams were starting a rookie 6th round pick at center. Looked like he held up ok.

He's looked bad and I said as much in a different thread and got crucified for it. He's on his 3rd team now and there's a reason for that. He's not good
Clearly we can now all see that you were right and although I wasn't one of your detractors I can see myself playing the "let's see what happens" role and it clearly doesn't matter. The guy is bad and this is what we get from JS. Why has he constantly undervalued the OL? Can't blame PC anymore. This is football 101, everything starts with the lines. If they suck so does your team.

This would seem to suggest otherwise:

Connor Williams

Season isn't over, but so far he's looked like he's taken a step back.
