Big Cat was the best player on defense this year and JSN was the best player on offense this year.

Both should be Pro Bowlers honestly.

Definitely agree he should have got in on the first ballot, not as an alternate. Well, at least he'll have it on his resume. They generally don't specify if he was elected or an alternate when the mention it later. Hope he has fun.

I’m with the majority. What a slap in the face. “Hey, even though you were the best at your position this year, we are going to vote someone who wasn’t as good as you instead. But hey! Don’t worry! If they can’t make it we will let you in as sloppy seconds!”

Give me a break.

I'm with Seabowl, would love to see him decline the invite. It's pathetic he wasn't in there to begin with. He was one of the best D Lineman in the NFL.
Thank you. I posted this in another thread earlier in the month.

Chris Jones voted ALL-PRO:
37 tackles
5 sacks
20 qb hits
9 tackles for loss

Leonard Williams, Who didn’t even make the Pro bowl:
64 tackles
11 sacks
A pick six for 85 yards
28 qb hits
16 tackles for loss

He literally almost doubled him on a few of these. It’s beyond ridiculous and actually to the point of fraudulent as to how Jones made it over Williams.

Chris Jones also led all DTs in hurries, was second in pressures, first in pass rush win rate, and is PFF's #1 ranked pass rusher for the season. He was also the leader of an elite defense that carried their team much of the season. Not like he had some awful season just because Aaron Rodgers didn't throw the ball at him one time.

Williams was phenomenal and absolutely deserved a spot. That point can be made without hand picking certain stats to misrepresent the accomplishments of his competition, some stats of which take no account into the roles and responsibilities of their position and the defense they play in. Like when have tackle numbers ever been considered important for interior linemen, let alone interceptions?

Yeah, but he was referring to All-Pro where Williams was fifth in voting (for four spots) behind (in order) Cameron Hayward, Chris Jones, Zach Allen, and Jalen Carter. That was some brutal competition. He probably would have finished sixth if Dexter Lawrence hadn't gotten hurt in week 12.

Pro Bowl shouldn't have even been in question. That was just stupid. Three of the four guys who got All Pro over him were AFC.
