Belichick unhappy with the hiring of Carroll?

Didn't watch the video, so just spitballing here and my apologies if I missed the context. But yeah, I think he'd maybe be a bit insulted that a HC search/hiring process that involved Tom Brady didn't attempt to hire him and instead hired one of his peers. That said, if Brady was evaluating them both objectively, he sees that Pete historically has a higher floor regardless of who his QB is; whereas Belichick's track record without Brady at QB is pretty bad. Great coach, not trying to take anything away from him, but fact is we don't know what he is without TB.

I haven't looked at how the timeline of Raiders job coming open crosses with BB taking the UNC job; but I wouldn't blame BB if his ego felt slightly bruised.

Oh, I don't know.

I don't think that the evil empire was quite as 'tight' as it always seemed. Particularly at the end, when Brady was banned from bringing in his own trainers, and other friction.

Brady was the sauce. As much as I *hated* him as a player. After he left, BB was kinda exposed as far as I'm concerned. And I'm still *amazed* at the fact that I like Brady so much as an announcer after hating him all those years.

Brady won more hardware post BB. BB didn't win shit. I know it's a bit of a segue but I feel similar to PC leaving and exposing JS in some ways.

If he wanted to play, I'm SURE that he wanted back in the NFL. And I'm fairly sure this browns his ass.

Doesn't really matter - he can go angrily cut the sleeves off some more hoodies!!!

I'm just glad Pete DID find a gig.

Brady hand-picked Pete Carroll, and did not even invite his old coach for an interview. That probably didn't sit well with BB, all the media love for the hiring didn't help either.

when it rains, it pours. Bill's son got fired from the Patriots, and Pete's son got hired by the Raiders.
