This dude is just a very good QB. Underrated by many but he’s a baller

Multiple plays on the drive for the win that he made all on his own has been almost unbelievable. Good for him

What NFL team gets a kick blocked? Well besides Seattle, looks like they got paid to just let the teams D do whatever they pleased. Plus, who runs the clock down to 1 second? what happens in the case of a penalty? Why not run it down to a few seconds on 3rd down and take the shot? Train the holder to know that NO KICK can be done, and just fall on the ball. Try again on 4th down... Poor coaching at the end.

Nobody can question Baker's chutzpah or toughness and he really is balling out overall this year, but some of those wide-misses at the end were painful. He's really struggling with Mike Evans on the sidelines and Tristan Wirfs going down can be real problematic for them.

They've already been swept by Atlanta, so they are going to have a tough road into the playoffs at this point.

Man, I hated this game. It was all the classic annoyingness of a Niners game. I can't stand watching that team play. Yeah, McCaffrey is a ridiculous talent (didn't quite have his usual elusiveness in the backfield today, though) but it's all these stupid little passes and plays that constantly look like they should just go nowhere and end up with like 20 damn yards.

Gotta give Shanahan credit as a play caller, dude knows what he's doing.

Mayfield makes some spectacular plays, but he also missed several wide open throws. If Geno had a 116 yards game, this forum would be calling for his head.
They all miss open guys. If Geno had a 116 game the forum would also be trying to convince everyone none of it was his fault 😜

Baker had a resurgence sort of like Geno in some ways. He’s a tough player and his teammates seem to thrive off of it. I couldn’t stand the guy when he first came out but it appears he grew up a little. Good for him

True that he has taken advantage of this fresh opportunity with a good surrounding cast, and with a new child has probably matured in perspective. I just wish he could have been a little bit better today than he was.

Eh, the difference is that we can pull up Geno's stats for most games and prove he wasn't the issue. Try to do that with Baker in this game. His cmp% is 8.5 percent below expected. He was awful.

Meh baker has multiple years now of really good QB play. Hes also with output Godwin.

Did you watch the game? Sometimes stats don’t tell the whole story. Making a big play in a crucial moment doesn’t really show up. Anyway the point wasn’t that he was awesome today(he wasn’t) it’s that he’s been very good since everyone gave up on him and has played some good football and grew up in the process.

He wasn’t great today for sure. He just plays tough and it’s fun to watch at times. He definitely leaves it all out there

Agreed. We see Geno make those same plays.

I guess it depends on how we define really good. His teams certainly don't win with any consistency. And, yes. I watched most of the game.

I don't think Mayfield's game has changed. He's the same guy he was in Cleveland before the injury. Give him a top 10 rush offense, and he'll put up stats. Force him to play from the pocket and carry an offense, and he'll struggle.

Ironically, he grades out like post-Seattle Wilson.

He’s 5th in EPA this year before this week and Geno is 19th.

NFELO he’s 9th (1 spot below Russ before today but probably below him now and Geno is 20th.

QBR doesn’t like him as much at 16. Geno is 24th this year. Both average to bad.
