But why is he awful? He's been successful everywhere he's gone as an OC. Did absolutely wonderful work in Tennessee and they were immediately worse when he left. He's now doing good work in Pittsburgh.

Meanwhile, Grubb may as well be wiping his ass with his playsheet.
Pittsburgh is winning strictly because as always their D is amazing. Their offense is sub optimal at best.
Arthur stunk once he went to Atlanta. His offense was horrid.

In both offensive yards and total points scored the Seahawks are far outperforming the Steelers right now. But yeah Grubb sucks and Arthur is the answer.

To be fair, Seattle has a significantly better QB.

Despite ranking 9th in Offense and the Steelers 16th, they average more rushing yards than we do at 138 to our 91 and the Steelers are averaging 23.4 points a game to Seattle's 23.3.

Seattle is definitely dominating more in the passing game, but doesn't the team always tout itself as a run first team? Albeit the Steelers line does rank higher... At 20th. As oppose to the Seahawks 29th, which is a big enough gap apparently because being ranked 20th's isn't exactly being world beaters.
The passing game looks much better with Wilson too the past two weeks too so I expect the offense to get even better with Smith.

True. That team is so reliant on its defense, especially Watt. If they didn't have steroid boy, they would be screwed. They have a losing record when he doesn't play.

Pittsburgh could also be winning because Arthur is holding together an offense that was quarterbacked by a non-functional passer in Fields and has had a ridiculous amount of OL injuries. He's a solid coach. They just keep on doing enough.

8th in the league in rushing. 19th in overall yards per game. 13th in PPG.

He just keeps putting out good offenses as an offensive coordinator. He immediately elevates them. They were absolutely terrible last year.

This board is luney tools if they think Arthur Smith is the answer for offensive football. He is awful.
I guarantee this board would have melted down had we hired him. Also our offense hasn't been bad. Our problem has been penalties, turnovers, and a center and QB who do not seem to be on the same page.
You had me at "This board is luney (sic) toons..." :p

Need to go get Chuck Knox's and George Allens old play books.

Hope they are not written in Cursive, that could be a problem these days.

Arthur Smith would have been 10x better than Grubb. He's been a excellent coordinator for years.

When you play second half of games behind a lot you have more passing stats. ESP when teams go into a prevent type D.
