I predicted a victory last Sunday simply with my heart, not my head. Since it was the first and only game I would be attending this season, I wanted to will the win into existence even though my head said we would likely lose. And lose we did. No need to rehash what's already been written the past few days. It was ugly. Start to finish.

This time, I am predicting with my head. The Rams have been our nemesis for many years now. McVay simply knows how to beat the Seahawks. If this would have been the first few weeks, I would take us at home. Now with Kupp and Puka back healthy, there's simply no way I can see how our troubled defense can manage them both with any real success.

I am still in the Mike camp. The man is in full evaluation mode and he needs time to put HIS team together. It could take 3 years. I'm not quitting on this team yet this year, but they better pull their asses out, fast, if they want any real chance for a postseason game.

Call my fandom out all you like but I will not be watching a lick of this game Sunday unless I find out we are playing well, or the game is close late. I'm tired of spending three hours being pissed off. I have better things to do with my life. Until they show me they are still fighting, and growing, I'm relegating myself to checking the score on my phone.

How are the Rams only favored by one? Factoring in our home-field disadvantage, does that mean we'd be favored by two in LA?

McVay knew how to beat Pete, not the Seahawks themselves. I don't know why, and i'm sure i'm wrong, but I think Seattle wins due to desperation.

Man in the suit picks the Rams which is the smart pick.

Stupid gut feeling which is most likely dreaming and a touch of insanity -
Hawks - 23
Rams - 22

I too am tired of this team not showing up for important mid-season games. Seems to be happening a lot in recent years. October - November are the months were the Contenders and Pretenders separate themselves, and we haven't been a real Contender in a while. Even if they beat the Rams by 10+ points, which I don't think they will, I have no faith in this team going forward. Not enough Dogs. A full rebuild may be in order.

I'd feel a lot better if our D was showing true progress and not getting gashed for several explosives game after game AND we still had a true home field advantage.

Grrrrrrrr.

At this point, I've gotta use an old expression from my now dead father in law. He had several, but I believe this is appropriate:

"I don't have a clue in the clue's closet."

Who the F knows WHAT we're gonna see this week.

With our latest addition to our LB corp and Murphy back on the field, I'm actually a *little* higher on our defensive talent than some, though I can surely understand every argument to the contrary. I haven't quite made up my mind on a prediction yet. I keep waiting for a couple of players to step up and take a stronger leadership role.

I've got to do some more stat diving...

A lot of good points on here. At some point this is gonna click and this team will be on fire, BUT not this week. I was so certain we would win last week and we got blown out. I watched the all 22 tape and it's not good. The D is not staying in their gaps and it's frustrating to watch. The run D can't even stop a wet paper bag.

The Rams have owned the Seahawks for some time now and have controlled the middle of the field passing. If Puca Nacua (?sp.?) can be controlled this game the Hawks have a punchers chance.

Vegas indicates the Rams are favoured by 1.5 when Seattle should be favoured at home by 3 points normally. The team is up against things presently with their last few losses and at 3-4 need to get a W if the want to turn things around.

Despite the Hawks being underdogs I think we might soon see the D improving significantly. Geno needs to stay calm and be together Geno instead of flaky Geno and Seattle needs to run the ball while stopping the run.

Homers prediction:

Hawks 27,
Rams 17.

Re: Nacua

He left practice today with issues with the same knee he just had surgery on. Hopefully it's nothing and he plays fully on Sunday. He'll be limited in practice tomorrow.

The past...

Hawks 27-16 Broncos Actual 26-20 Hawks
Hawks 23-16 Pats Actual 23-20 Hawks
Hawks 27-13 Dolphins Actual 24-3 Hawks
Lions 23-20 Hawks. Actual 42-29 Lions
Hawks 24-10 Giants. Actual 29-20 Giants
49ers 30-20 Hawks Actual 36-24 Niners
Hawks 30-27 Falcons Actual 34-14 Hawks
Bills 27-24 Hawks Actual Bills 31-10 Hawks

YTD 7-1

BLAH! Let's put that one behind us.

I'm going with the same score as last time, only the Hawks winning it, just over the over/under. We can score on these guys. I'm also hoping that a couple of players may have stepped up this week and taken a more leadership role. It's going to be close, methinks. I thought we got MM as coach to offset these young offensive minded coaches in our division.

Hawks 27-24 Rams
