Thy football God is setting this game up as the defining moment for Hawks under our young HC. If we pull out a win when 4 of our defense front seven couldn't play, this win will boost our team to go deep in playoff.

Go Hawks.

A day early but I am feeling myself.

Lions are a fun team to root for. When they are not directly impacting my Seahawks, I root for them. Win or lose, I like them and ultimately hope one day - like the Browns - they win it all.

Scrappy, an image of their rough and tough coach who I also admire.

Having said that, we seem to have their number for some odd reason. These tend to be shoot outs. Nobody knows if that will be the case next Monday. I do know that Geno and company have no fear of this team nor should you.

Still, I have a nagging feeling this is our first L. Not because we are not as good as them. I just think we are due.

However…..

EDIT: As of 9/27 I have changed my prediction pick for the SECOND time back to Seahawks 23 - Lions 24.

Aros' Fearless Record: 3-0
yay we're going to win! :p

I think our offense is starting to figure itself out and will cook. This is coach Mike’s first big game and on primetime. I know the injuries are killer, but reading Hawkblogger’s article today made me feel better about the injury effect. Grubb and Macdonald our creative enough to pull this off. And the Lions are somehow struggling on offense so far.
34-24 Hawks

Almost forgot to check in from the world of Madden:

Seahawks 28, Lions: 10

Unlike our recent shootouts, the opening quarter is scoreless. Lions get the first TD at the start of the second quarter and take an early lead. Seahawks defense comes up with a stop and the Seahawks put together a TD near the end of the half but leave nearly a minute on the clock. Trying to take the momentum back, Goff makes a bad read, and Riq Woolen takes it to the house and we go into the half up 14 to 7.

A Lions FG is the only scoring in the 3rd quarter, but a two TD fourth quarter for the Seahawks shuts the door on the boys from the Motor City and the Seahawks head back to Seattle 4-0.

your math and isn't mathing

I think we get handled and don't look good doing it 28-7 lions.

Argh. Missed that. It was 28-10. Fixed, thanks.

That said, I can't see a world where we get held to 7 by the Lions. Denver had a better rated defense coming into the week (and holding the Jets to 9 isn't going to hurt that standing) and they didn't hold us to 7. I could see our ravaged front seven getting gashed for 28 perhaps, but I would be surprised to see us fall off so hard on offense.

Guess we'll see soon.
