But here you are...........caring. It goes both ways. Worry about you, and stop worrying about what other people do.
It's really that simple. It's creepy, probably on both sides. Strange af really.

Have to see when teams readjust back to Russ defense. Have deep safety and push routes inside the numbers. This is the defense that gives him fits as he is still afraid to throw over the middle, unless it is a seam throw.

Agree to disagree, Mael. I'm good with that. And probably for the best. You blast him every chance you get, all while bending over for your precious Geno Smith. Period. You literally called the dude a dickhead. Let me guess, you didn't say that either. You get your panties in bunch EVERY time someone doesn't join your Geno worship. Period. Or, you make excuses every time they lose and/or he has a bad game. Somehow, it's never his fault. Period.
I find it hilarious and entertaining that you're still up on Russ' junk. "He played well, but....." It so damn funny.
Don't like it, I don't give two sh****
You in a nutshell: call people dick riders, pulling out their meat, call players dickheads, talk down to anyone who doesn't worship Geno or.....who has ANYTHING good to say about Russ. Then.......you whine that someone calls you something. And you claim that I'M PLAYING THE VICTIM. Hypocrite much? So, it's OK FOR YOU, but not for anyone else. At some point, it seems like you could look in the mirror. You're doing the EXACT SAME THING that you're accusing people of. Not sort of, EXACTLY THE SAME.

I hope he plays well; you hate the dude with a passion. Cool.
I'm actually unsure whether you've ever responded to a post of mine without putting in a ridiculous strawman argument.

I'm not even bashing the dude. The original bashing in this thread was absolutely random Geno bashing lol.

I'm literally complimenting his play. Not sure what other standard you want to hold me to in regards to Russ discourse, but holy shit dude.

And, yeah, I'm calling a former player a dickhead. Sure. He's a dickhead for forcing himself out when all he had to do was realize his limitations.

Jesus dude all I said was it doesn't seem like you watched the game because you literally said he had 1 touchdown and 270 yards. If you watched the game that comment didn't make a ton of sense to me. I didn't call you a name or anything. I hate debating this topic because everyone takes this stuff way to personal.

You did say stuff like dickriders, pull their meat out etc when talking about people praising Russ though did you not? You can't disparage people and then when someone says it doesn't seem like you watched the game and then say they're being super disrespectul. I don't think that's fair. Regardless the tone of what I said wasn't meant to be rude and I thought that was obvious but apparently not so apologies.
I used his literal box score statline to illustrate a point. That's, unfortunately, how most people quantify QB play here and I had to make a comparison.

When I said "pulling their meat out" it was more about the "denigrating our current QB in favor of the former QB who now plays for Pittsburgh" component rather than Russ praise alone.

Also, you said "you didn't watch the game." If you'd said that as more of an opinion than a statement, I wouldn't have called it disrespectful tbh.

I watched MNF long enough last night to see Russ miss a WIDE open receiver in the middle of the back of the end zone and they had to settle for a field goal. I promptly turned the channel.

It’s hard to compare anything when there are so many variables. ‘Boy, if Geno had that altitude that Russ does…he’s throwing at 175’ above sea level ffs”.

So easy to paint a narrative.

Russ looked great last game. Fact.

Geno. Not so much. Fact.

Regardless, if you’re a fan of this team, you’re rocking with Geno and supporting him. It’s ok to call the baby ugly once in awhile.

Likewise, if you’re having RW3 envy, you’re likely a player fan…that’s cool too. Doesn’t mean you aren’t a Hawks fan. There’s no correlation there. Many of us wished him ill will during his time in Denver. Although his last season wasn’t as bad as his first with the Broncos, we certainly got our wish.

Personally, I don’t think Geno can replicate, nor surpass, what Russ has….simply because it hasn’t happened…..yet.

I’d love to see Geno behind a competent line while running a balanced game plan. I’ve got an ill-feeling that won’t happen.

At this rate, we’re more likely to rebuild while Geno battles an unbeaten opponent - Father Time.

Should have kept Wilson and Bevell. Or at least brought back Dan Quinn.
Wilson is probably going to be starting a playoff game with Pitt this year. Barf.
Had we kept Wilson, he would never have found the success he has a chance of finding now. He needed the humbling experience of trying to play like a traditional QB in a Payton style offense, to understand that he has real limitations, and humble himself enough to play his game.

Now, he should be happy to play in a ball control offense, that caters to his strengths. Before he was allowed to fail at runnning, he was chafing at the bit.

Did you stay long enough to listen to Brady's analysis of that play? The receiver was WIDE open and should have parked his butt in the open spot, which is where Russ threw the ball. Instead he kept moving, along with the DB and the pass went incomplete. That was on the receiver, not on Russ.

Oh here we go..we shoulda kept Russ posts...unreal...hes played 2 garbage teams and now he's the savior of 2013 again....
3rd highest passing rating in NFL history. It was stupid to let him go. Hes a perfect fit for a team that plays sound defense and can run the ball somewhat. Pitt is doing just that.

Nonsense. No he didn't. The worst decision Seahawks made was the "Let Russ Cook" meme that took off around 2016-2017 (besides letting him go). It forced Russ to play like Peyton Manning. Dumb move. Russ fits best with a team that plays defense and can run the ball. Then when you catch the defense off guard he can hit you with the deep ball. Plus Manning, Brees, and Brady had better Olines.

Nah, it's ALWAYS on Russ. Unless it's something positive. Then it's always someone else who deserves the credit.
Exactly why I retired from this subject long ago. But.....here I am again.

The people who still fold their arms and roll on the ground with their Russ hate don't bother watching. They pick a single play, and turn that into "he sucks"

He's obviously not what he once was, but he certainly doesn't suck.

Wilson look off in running this game. I wonder if he is still not fully healed from the calf injury. Its odd though he moves perfectly fine evading defenders and man that arm of his is looking nice. I haven't seen Wilson throw like this even during his MVPish season in 2020(first half) Wilson is slinging it quickly and with confidence. Comeback player of the year if he keeps it up.

Whether we'd be better with Russ or Geno under center right now, keep in mind that if we still had Russ, it means we would have given him an enormous extension. It wouldn't be like how the Steelers are paying him next to nothing, because the Broncos are fronting almost his entire salary.
