The NFL in 2023 has been strange AF. So many upsets and sh** burgers thrown up by good teams. It happens.

Funnily enough, Pete defensively matches up with Kyle shanahan better than most other teams. Same for the flip side, McVay owns Pete for whatever reason.

LB’s and Adams need to have monster games at and near the LOS. Contain the outside stuff, diagnose screens, make the 49ers try to beat you vertically.

That said - if Waldron’s horrendous design and in game adjustments of late shows up, OL continues being garbage, the defense will only be able to hold up for so long. Offense has to be balanced, establish the running game to create some longer drives, and punch in TD’s. FG’s likely won’t cut it.

Once 49ers get rolling it’s almost impossible to catch up with how talented their front 7 is on defense. They can just focus on pass rushing and the games over. So everyone needs to bring their A game.

Funny thing is that the NFL wanted to see high scoring games with lots of deep balls, defenses adapted, and now we have low scoring games (Miami may be an anomaly). Probably why we hear so many RB’s calling out the NFL. Will the NFL return to low scoring, ground and pound? Only time will tell.

Play disciplined football! No dumb penalties, miscues or mistakes. The team has the talent but they play with very little discipline.
