Some of the beat writers are joking that Saleh is in charge of player personnel and he will have another head coaching opportunity and be gone next year

We're Seahawks fans so what happens elsewhere doesn't register right away.

Surprising that Eagles would trade him, given the cap hits--$5 million in 2025 and $16.6 million in 2026.

I think it was a situation where the compensation was no where near the production. A rare miss by Howie Roseman . Hopefully his production increases under Saleh again

Signing with 9ers instead of reviving his career under Macdonald?

He had his best year under (HC) Saleh, and consensus opinion is that the Niners have a better chance of making the Super Bowl than the Hawks.

Not sure why he would consider Seattle, or if we even had interest or were in the running.

The Seahawks tried signing him in free agency last year, but he chose the Eagles. This time around, he didn't have a choice, he was traded.

I don't think the Seahawks would have wanted to take on his salary. Huff was a disappointment last year, but he was also injured. I hope he doesn't revert back to what he was in '23 (10 sacks, 21 QB hits). Bosa and Huff could be a tough pair to deal with.

My guess is that Vic Fangio knows what he's doing, and his assessment is that Huff isn't worth the money.
