Can someone more knowledgeable than myself offer their take on the overall health of our offensive line this offseason compared to the previous couple? I know some guys did get banged up, but what are the worst injuries being rehabbed this time around? Mr. Grok indicates the below, but it's vague:

Yes, several Seattle Seahawks offensive linemen experienced significant injuries during the 2024 season. Here are some notable instances:
  • George Fant played only 2 games in the 2024 season, which suggests a significant injury or limited role due to injury.

  • Connor Williams and Stone Forsythe each played in 9 games, indicating possible significant injuries or other reasons for missing games.

  • Abraham Lucas was limited to 7 games, which could be attributed to a significant injury.

  • Anthony Bradford played in 11 games, also hinting at some injury concerns during the season.

The only thing I can say is that I was at the Jet game and saw Lucas with what appeared to be a consistent limp even on the sidelines. I think there is serious doubt on whether or not this guy is gonna be able to play much longer.

The Seahawks need to sign a proven top FA OG 28 yo or under and use their 1st or 2nd round pick on a OG or OT/OG.
Then on day 3 draft a center and swing tackle or a versatile O-lineman for depth.
If they don't do this now, keeping Geno or drafting a QB will not matter and our new OC will not have a running game to lean on.
This offseason feels like make or break for John to fix this.

Another argument for what many here have seen for years, surprised it's 52.6 really.

A link to what article or transcript or sound bite your referencing would be helpful. I'm no expert but what follows is my take on the specific players you have mentioned.

* George Fant was a huge disappointment in holding down the right tackle starting assignment until Lucas could return. George participated in a grand total of 30 game snaps. That's it! Not exactly what John Schneider had in mind. George's contract will most likely be terminated.

* Connor Williams just couldn't sustain his play anymore. My speculation is that his body just gave out as the result of a very aggressive rehabilitation program.

* Stone Forsythe concluded his rookie contract. He is now an unrestricted free agent. His hand should be fully healed for 2025. Given the ongoing shortage of NFL tackles, he'll attract some interest. I don't believe the Seahawks have shown sufficient commitment to the run game to be among those he'll consider. Suspect it is time to turn the page. That would leave, developmental project, Michael Jerrell as the obvious swing tackle currently under contract. Michael finished the season healthy while accumulating 250 snaps on offense and another 40 on special teams.

* Abraham Lucas had a rather long knee rehabilitation in 2024. If Connor Williams had been as patient, perhaps he would still be active in the league. Lucas will most assuredly benefit from the off season. More so than any other lineman under contract. He is now able to give his body a chance to recover and rest during this off season. Looking forward to seeing the return of his exceptional hand fighting.

* Anthony Bradford is strictly a right guard in my eyes. He suffered an ankle injury on 11-24-2024 that put him in a walking boot. His anticipated return to right guard in 2025 would make the move of the more mobile and versatile Sataoa Laumea to left guard a real option.
