A mantra the Eagles have been saying all year.

It always interests me the power of mantras with teams. We were the first to say “We all we got, we all we need!” That phrase was adopted years later by several other teams.

It just intrigues me how a team of 53 human beings can rally around a quote.

There must be something to it.

I dunno the Nazis got a few people to gather round with two words

Doesn’t take much. Humans, although top of the food chain, are pretty stupid overall.

That’s my ray of sunshine for the day

Edit: on a more inspirational note, mantras can be used to rally the good as well.

Point being we long for belongingness due to the fundamental insecurity in our being and blah blah

Its science. Real science.

There are a ton of studies that have been done in sport and other areas that examine the effect process, ritual and suggestion can have on sensory experience and human performance, whether physical or otherwise.

its been shown that the tradition of japanses tea preparation and the process it takes, requiring patience, accuracy and carefully plotted steps, actually results in heightened enjoyment of the drink and its taste.

Traditional Samurai warfare (staying in Japan) relied on ritual before battle to put warriors in a heightened sense of being so that they were able to fight more effectively... essentially, a force multiplier.

Mantras function in a similar way, instilling in a person or people the belief that they have something more than their opponent - destiny, fate, fortune... that 'something' that allows them to push that 1 percent further or focus 2 percent more than without it.

It all tickles the same senses and synapsis that can give a person hyper focus and heightened strength in a situation where, say a loved one's life is in danger and they are required to act to save them.

its all chemical, man.

Most of the losing teams have mantras also, you just never hear about them cause it couldn't overcome their lack of talent.

So the separation is in the preparation? Should we start working on mantras now? Why not us? Why not now?

And, both their SB wins came against the current GOAT and perhaps the eventual GOAT.
They're the modern day NY Giants.

Which, by the way, automatically disqualifies Jalen "Eli" Hurts from first ballot HOF consideration.
