Charles Cross on nfl.com's All-Under-25 Team

I had forgotten how young Charles Cross was when he was drafted. He came out of an air raid college offense. His run blocking took some time to come around. But, never the less, showed great improvement over the course of last year. He should prosper from what he has learned over the course of...

Biggest surprise player 2025 Anthony Bradford

Correction:: Christian Haynes was a mid 3rd round pick (#91). Not that the order of past draft picks matter much once their made. With regards to Anthony Bradford: Bradford's poor conditioning hurt the 2024 team. Although he may be headed in the right direction, he's well behind on where he...

Our 2025 LB is better than #24!!!

PFF is not actually good enough. Teams make use of additional data collecting services. Plus teams have their own unique scouting and grading systems. And, more recently, they make extensive use of all 22 video data with connected all 22 telemetry. Teams have grown their analytic staffs. Of...

Our 2025 LB is better than #24!!!

I don't often do this. But, I'm making an exception. I'm pointing a finger at 👉 toffee. He appears to be suffering from an addiction.

Our 2025 LB is better than #24!!!

Although, Lighter players have less inertia to overcome. They tend to enjoy an edge in explosive acceleration, deceleration and change of direction. That was Aaron Donald's edge. And it was among the reasons the Rams were so interested in drafting Byron Murphy.

If you were re-drafting 2024, do you still take Murphy?

A hamstring injury can knock a player out of the lineup (week 3). It can take a while to work back from an injury. Murphy's conditioning should be at his best yet returning from his first pro off season.

Our 2025 LB is better than #24!!!

Different body type and style. Al Woods was powerful. Could stack to keep linebackers clean and then shed to swallow up either A gap. Murphy has a lower center of gravity and pad level and some quickness allowing the coaches to look for week to week match up advantages by moving him around...

Our 2025 LB is better than #24!!!

It was an absolute joy to watch Al Woods manhandle offensive linemen. Especially on the nose in a 0 technique. Although there are some nose tackle candidates, the young ones are a work in progress. Until they develop one, I expect to see them shade the center to one side or the other. Attaching...

Our 2025 LB is better than #24!!!

I've taken to visualizing it as a 5-2 base defense. Three defensive linemen flanked by two outside linebackers. With, two off ball linebackers at the second level. One or two of the on line five can drop into coverage at any time. Instilling uncertainty in the minds of the opposing offense.

    Shaquill Griffin Returning

As I recall, it became a coaching point for Woolen during 2024. This year will shape his second contract. I think he's focused on the upcoming season. He's certainly getting all the support he needs from coaches and vets.

Russ holds his own press conference

Off hand, I can't think of a better "book end" ROI by a Seahawks General Manager. Schneider owns the #1 ROI spot in Seahawks history. Maybe that was the motivation behind sending Russell a Seahawks jersey during the off season ..... in recognition of such.

Russ holds his own press conference

That John Schneider sure knew what he was doing. A bargain draft pick on the way in and a huge trade pay off on the way out. With some memorable entertainment moments in between. A book end return on investment.

Our 2025 LB is better than #24!!!

Tyrice Knight is on my watch list. Given that his 9 starts were delayed until the second half of his rookie year and he is coming off his first pro off season with the benefit of the same coaching and training staff, his development has my attention.

    Shaquill Griffin Returning

I'll just add that the above stats were against 572 snaps or about 50% of the available 2024 defensive snaps. He only missed one tackle for the year. That's significant in a year where blocking and tackling are going to be a deciding factor in who makes the initial team roster. A third point...
