    Vikings signed Daniel Jones

It will be fairly hilarious, and entirely possible, if he gets cut from the Giants, to go the the Vikings, gets a ring, and earns the Vikings a comp pick, all while never playing a down. Sounds so Belichickian

    NFL Ratings Are Down 2.2%

    MacDonald riding with Geno

He will be paid those incentives whether he remains on the team or is cut. He has already earned them, and they will count against next year's cap either way. You are looking at his total cap hit, which is $44.5 million. I'm talking about net cap hit, the difference between cutting him or...

    MacDonald riding with Geno

This is where I am at. At a net cost of 25 million for 2025, Geno is the best we can do, barring finding a Russell Wilson/ Brock Purdy in the draft. He's either the second or third best QB, of the ones who didn't make the playoffs. We aren't going to find anything better for under 30 million...

Good summary article on the Grubb 'era' -

On a good team, when your defense craps the bed, the offense bails them out. This offense was never capable of doing that. Both the line and Geno were made to look even worse due to Grubb's ineptitude. Not to suggest either are top 5, or anything of the sort.

BREAKING NEWS: OC Ryan Grubb fired after 1 year

Or MM's realization that, no matter how good your offensive line, and line coach are, they will look like trash when NFL defenses know exactly what you are throwing at them on most plays (pun intended). The first three games were a bit of a fluke. Defenses hadn't figured out the scheme and...

Mid-round project QBs we could draft

I’ve advocated for three FCS players to be drafted, Cooper Cupp, Troy Anderson, and now Tommy Mellott. If he wins the championship, I think he will need to be a late round draft pick. If not, he might slip under the radar. He is, by far, the riskiest of the three, but man he really is a hell...

Cowherd "Seattle should trade for JJ McCarthy"

Watch him go to SF. They have more to offer.

Mid-round project QBs we could draft

This is one reason why I’m advocating to give Mellott a chance. He’s one of the smartest dudes to ever take the field, plus he’s probably the best all around athlete in FCS. The knock on him will be his height and weight, and, of course, the fact that he played in the FCS. Even if he doesn’t...

Poll: One point loss or blowout win vs Rams

I don’t care if we win or lose this meaningless game. I’d really like to see our backups get a chance, so we can get a sense of what the cupboards hold, going into the offseason.

Try telling Minnesota that cap is unimportant, then watch what they do over the next two years.

Mid-round project QBs we could draft

I really hope they don’t waste a mid-round pick on a QB this year. Take Tommy Mellot as your last pick, or as a UDFA. Spend our picks on the trenches and a replacement for Woolen. Let Geno play out his contract. Look to next year’s draft for a young stud, and trade up then if we need to.

Cowherd "Seattle should trade for JJ McCarthy"

I don’t see why the Vikings would trade him. Even if they do, they will want a first. While they have a dearth of picks this year, they have near league top in cap space. Over 75 million, IIRC. It makes the most sense to sign Darnold to a decent contract, with a lot of performance clauses...

@ Rams Sunday 1:25 PT FOX

For some reason I feel like we are more likely to lose this game if the Rams sit their starters than if they play them. . Just the way the Seahawks play down to their opposition, and make a game of every contest.

Place bets now: Grubb here in 2025?

If I'm John, I'm sitting down with Mike, and saying, "What would you do if you were an opposing defensive coordinator? Would this offensive coordinator make you lose any sleep?" MM might not be an offensive guy, but he should be able to see that the game plan is holding this team back, and...

Place bets now: Grubb here in 2025?

Maybe it’s just hopeful thinking, but he’s done. They’ve made no progress from the early season. They are running a college offense, and NFL defenses are feasting. MM has to recognize it. It’s time to move on.

    Chicago. Big Mac/Defense, Geno, Grubb

If your line and QB are suspect, why a game plan that amplifies their weaknesses. 3rd and 3? Let’s send all the receivers 10 plus yards downfield, giving the defense extra time to get to Geno.

    Chicago. Big Mac/Defense, Geno, Grubb

Any NFL defense, even the worst in tbe league, will feast on a college offense. It doesn’t matter how good your offensive line and quarterback are. We are basically running a college offense, a slower tempo version of the air raid. It reminds me of watching Mike Leach at TT or WSU. Nothing...
