Surely there is a free agent lineman

He's a third string guy who got thrown in on the fly. He's not a legit starter. He's not really a good #2. But, let's remember that he's a #3 RT on the roster, so we can't expect starter-level play from the guy.

    Evan Brown signs with AZ

Brown's a great backup, who was paid as a backup, but who was asked to start. So sure, he didn't play great last year - but that's as much on our front office as anyone.

    Seahawks sign Jerome Baker LB

$7M is rich for a LB, but is less than he was making in Miami. His former contract was paying him 12.5M/year. (https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/seattle-seahawks/jerome-baker-25172/)

    Wheres all the buzz today?

Strangely, a large part of me hopes we miss the playoffs. This team is not good, but limping along with a 9-8 season and a playoff birth may make some people feel that we are almost good, and are just 1-2 pieces away from making a run. As long as we hang on to short term hope, we make bad...

    Geno's Arm

He should have been picked on 3 of his 4 throws so far.

    The family hates me

I'm done yelling. I'm accepting our fate tonight.

    Inactives

Dallas, who is an experienced, highly reliable, but not very explosive back. And McIntosh who is a rookie late round draft pick. Haven't seen a lot of out McIntosh this year due to injury.

    Inactives

Surprised, and pleased, to see Clark as a healthy scratch. Excited to see what McIntosh can do with a couple carries today. Interested to see Bryant plays on ST and how Hall plays with the added snaps.

    13-7 At Half

And 34 offensive plays to 22.

    Zach Charbonnet... RB2 ?

I very very much agree on the ambiguity of a 1 vs 2. HOWEVER, I do feel, very strongly, that Charbonnet should be getting a lot more carries, to the tune of around 40%. If I were king of the world, I'd run Charbonnet 60/40 in first half to wear down defenses, and then run Walker 60/40 in the...

We missed Bradford against the Ravens

Bradford has exceeding any reasonable expectations for the year, and flashes massive upside. I'm in the camp that thinks he should rotate in, getting at least a few series each week. But, he's also very inconsistent, and on average, not a meaningful improvement over Haynes or Lewis today.

    Geno quietly threw for 370

It wasn't quiet. I was yelling the whole time!

    Geno has....

I think the Geno hate is typically a bit unfair, but ending the first half like that is unforgivable. A coach has to be able to trust his QB to not make a mistake there. And, the QB let his coach, and the team, down on that play.

Metcalf seems to not come down when pass is contested

It feels like he's regressed here slightly this year. I think he was better last year with contested catches.

Jamal Adams makes this team worse.

Partially agree: Missing an open field tackle on a QB happens all the time. But, it sure seems like when a player misses a play that he really should make, bad stuff happens. The full bad isn't on him. But, he had every opportunity to stop it from happening.

    DQ'd?

I think the DQ was spot on. I was actually telling the wife that hits like that get people kicked out of games.

Jamal Adams makes this team worse.

He was never going to be the same after the injury. And he was a bit of a bust even before the injury...

    Smith Njigbas snap count

Don't get me wrong - I'm a huge believer in running the ball, including when we are tied or down (even down more than one score). I think NFL teams, including us, abandon the run much much too early. My point was simply that teams will run more when they are ahead. And when we are running a...

    Smith Njigbas snap count

We run the ball when we're ahead. That means more Bobo and more TEs.

    Run blocking

I think we should stick with it. Run the ball.
