Assuming he didn’t rape anyone it was absolutely about ”physical release” but with a massage. Once he got caught he entered the realm of sinister some of those girls stabbed him in the back and some are telling the truth. He’s a bad guy in my mind because he’s calling good girls liars. 200 million will cause lots of people to do crazy stuff. If he’s smart he’ll meet with everyone of the good girls, apologize & write them no less than quarter million checks each.
If it had not been for the large number of complaints, I'd be looking with a very suspicious eye towards the accusers. Let's call a spade a spade: Many of these women are nothing more than cheap whores. Many of them wouldn't hesitate a second if they had a chance to extort money from a high profile professional athlete.

But when there are 22 of them, it becomes difficult to rationalize all of them as coming from nothing but a bunch of gold digging women. It's obvious that Watson is guilty of at least a few of those accusations.

Guilty of what? Jerking off in the massage? yes he did that but some of them told him they wouldn’t service him & he had to do it himself.

Guilty of sexual harassment and/or sexual assault:

The specific accusations are wide-ranging but include descriptions of him exposing himself without consent, forcing women into sexual acts and making veiled threats.

There are 23 such charges against him. IMO they can't all be meritless.

I don’t trust sports Illustrated but if there are many sexual assault & veiled threat accusations how did he get cleared so quickly By the police? I really hope Seattle wasn’t serious about him.

I'm just speculating, but in cases like these, nearly all the evidence is testimony from eyewitnesses, ie the girls, and given the character of those testifying against him, it would be very difficult for the prosecution to get a conviction. Many of the witnesses would end up taking the 5th. Those that did testify would have their character torn apart by a smart defense attorney. After all, most of them are engaging in or have at one time engaged in illegal activity, ie prostitution.

The other thing is politics. A highly publicized trial would be a huge embarrassment to LE and local politicians as it would show that they knowingly turn a blind eye to these 'rub and tug' joints. A trial could turn up other stuff, ie under age employees, forced labor, human trafficking, etc. IMO they don't want to open up a can of worms.

The league provides education to all who enter in order to prepare players for the pitfalls they WILL experience. Watson knew the risk. If he had so many cramps he needed 66 massage therapists he was unfit to play and needed medical help, and likely mental help as well.
That Watson was initially cleared in court, THEN accusations came in, THEN the number of accusers swelled exponentially is a huge rad flag on both sides. But the league is now going to punish Watson for something that had to be known before the deal was made. Cleveland should already be preparing their case against the league for bait and switch.

The league approved the deal and the contract, then implied they would be applying a suspension penalty to Watson, thereby defrauding the Browns. That is just as strong a case as the Massage therapists can bring no matter how many money seekers they can get to join in the fun looking for a slice of $230M guaranteed.
I can't believe Cleveland went all in for a contract like that. Or that they could now expect Baker to fill the possibly lengthy suspension void.

That's not true. I think you're off by a year:

On March 16, 2021 Houston lawyer Tony Buzbee filed a civil suit on behalf of a massage therapist who alleges that Watson sexually assaulted her during a session in March of 2020. The suit states that Watson touched the woman with his penis before asking for sex.

On March 17, the following day, Buzbee announced that a second massage therapist was also filing a suit against Watson over an alleged incident which took place in The Houstonian Hotel in August of 2020.

The following day, on March 18 the third and most serious suit against Watson was filed. A massage therapist alleged that Watson sexually assaulted her in an office building in December of 2020, forcing her to perform oral sex on him.

On March 19 Buzbee said that more women contacted his office in the wake of the previous three accusations. Nine additional suits were filed, bringing the total to 12 — and in total the attorney said that 22 women had contacted his office saying they too were harassed, or assaulted by the Texans’ quarterback.

OMG! There‘s no way the NFL can let him play!

You won't see Watson at all in 2022 and Clevelands paying him 45 million guaranteed money. Thats a mighty big oops.

Watson contract set up with expectation that he’ll get suspended and only lose a million. It’s what Tom Brady did to avoid losing money when he got suspended for deflategate

Yeah, they've structured it so that most of Watson's $45M is in signing bonuses, which aren't subject to suspension. He's only getting a salary of $1M this season, so worst case if he gets suspended for the entire season, that's all he loses is the salary. It's obscene, IMO.

The Browns paid out the highest contract in NFL history and the only thing they got was descriptions of his genitals and him in the "Happy Baby" position, and a hundred icky descriptions of him climaxing on unwilling massage therapists. GREAT CALL, BROWNS. YEAH THAT'S A TEAM I REALLY WANNA FOLLOW. You know the Hawks looked into trading for him? JESUS.

If I was an NFL QB, getting hit for a living and making a few mil per game doing it, I'd be getting no less than 2 x 2 hr massages per week. Now, I'm sure the team has full time trainers rubbing down the boys... but they're probably less attractive than the ones I'd prefer.

In all seriousness, why does anyone really give a rat's ass about any of this? Correct me if I'm wrong but these ladies did these acts willingly, they accepted money for it and they were likely tipped quite well, too.

By all accounts, Watson is reputed to be a pretty good guy...and has been as far back as most can remember him. But now these women want to sue him. Auwe.

Call me names, cancel me, but I hope they don't get shit. How much money has this cost Watson...Can a number even be put on that? I think 100 mil is a probably a good start point. Enough, already. Play ball.
They never signed up to have him ejaculate on them. And he's a bad tipper too.
