This Team is a JOKE

This team is pathetic. Year after year for over two decades. Let down after let down. They show some life last year and then open this season this way. After all these rebuilds. How does Servais still have his job? 7 years no playoffs. Can't believe this.

Same record as the A's, a minor league team basically with terrible attendance on the verge of relocating. Embarrassing indeed. This may be it for Scotty.

Scott isn’t helping but he is far from the issue.

The franchise blows. If it were up to me, I’d literally blow it up. New team name, erase history, I’d do it all. If it weren’t about money I’d get a new stadium. Fire everyone in the organization. From management all the way to ROOT sports crew. The entire franchise needs a rebuild.

Can we trade them away for the Sonics? Mariners haven’t even made the playoffs since the Sonics left the city.

Bigger picture yeah you're right about organization issues. When Lou was here, he took over. M's need someone like that again. A total alpha male boss man. Keep the M's, our stadium is still one of the best and there's some incredible moments and players in this franchises history, minus the world series appearance obviously. When the M's do finally win whenever that is, the city will go nuts.

M’s ownership doesn’t want someone like Lou who isn’t afraid to rattle cages, they want a “yes man”.

Being CHEAP has just bit this team in the ass, yet again.

Story is flat out killing the M’s. ….”but but but we promised JP the shortstop position, and we don’t want to offer 6 year contracts……”

Always excuses with this FO/Ownership group. Don’t want to hear anymore out of them until they are interested in spending $$$ on talent. I’ll reach for my wallet to spend on tix and merch when they find their wallet. Until then they won’t see a dime from me, just like it’s been for the past 10 years.

4 game sweep and losing on a walk off grand slam in extras. Seriously F this team.

I'm tired of these inept morons from the top down. Ownership stinks, management stinks, coaching is awful, players underachieve and never live up to the hype.

I'll always root for them but "frustration" is an understatement.

Don't forget they are spending 55 million dollars to upgrade the diamond club seating area at whatever the stadium is called now. Diamond club seats cost damn near 20k a year. Imagine what 55 million could do if they used it for on field talent instead of upgrading the rich people area of the stadium.

Trash franchise, best of luck naming five major sports franchises worst than the Mariners.

Fire everyone.

I can name none. The Washington "commanders" or the the kings maybe. Tho even Washington gets to the playoffs sometimes the mariners are as bad as it gets. The dumpster fire of all dumpster fires.

The Seattle SuperSonics have made a playoff appearance more recently than the Mariners and they stopped existing in 2008! Let that sink in for a minute.

The cure for the Mariners, is the same as the cure for MLB in general. Too many teams. Cut the number of franchises back to 1969 levels with the same teams, or rearrange some franchise locations, but with a maximum of 24.

I feel like DiPoto is safe, because, ownership views him as a substantial upgrade over Zduriencik and Bavasi.

The France trade was genius. He's proven he can put together a good bull pen, too. Servais would probably go before him but who knows.

On the one hand, I felt the revolving door of managers between Piniella and Servais was a bit of a joke/premature. At the same time, DiPoto needs some sort of rubric for firing an ineffective coach.

This is something that has always been the most brutal stat: The Mariners have been a team since 1977. How many times have they been in the playoffs? 4. I repeat.....4.

You gotta' be kidding me.

I’m starting to think they might be the worst major sports franchise.

Lou had Hall of famers and won nada to be fair. He made the playoffs which to be fair he should of. I loved Lou but with social media he would of been picked apart too.

People would say "Lou has Randy, Edgar, Jr, Arod and Tino and not 1 ring".
