Was able to watch the first period last night vs Wild and liked what I saw for the most part, the Kraken starting with a 2-0 lead before it became 2-1 on a Wild PP. Especially nice was the nifty passing between Gourde and Kuhlman for the second goal. Wasn't able to watch the rest, but noticed later on a score ticker that it was suddenly 2-5. What the hell happened?! That's like a football team scoring 3 TDs in less than 2 minutes.
Piss poor defense and piss poor goaltending happened.
Matty Ice scored another goal though.

Let's be honest with ourselves. This team is set up to be built up over the long haul. They are in a gaunlet of playoff caliber teams, three of which are on the road. Dallas needed to win in order to stay in the hunt. The Canucks will need to win or be eliminated. The Kings are trying to hold on for the 3rd spot on the West. I'll take the win against Colorado as a sign of good things to come in the next year.

Now is the time you put your young men on the ice and see what they can do. As far as goalies, I do think that Grubauer hasn't been worth all the money or the hype. But maybe it's a down year for him?

Not sold on either goalie. They’ve shown “flashes” of great play but are not consistent. The defense also must improve greatly.

The offense is what was expected. Love Kuhlman and Yanni’s “Tic-Tac-Goal”, that was sweet.

Been a painful season after waiting since 1970 the year that Seattle should have had a team in the NHL.

But this is what normally happens to expansion teams in NHL, Vegas was an outlier. I have seen some encouraging signs lately.

Yes Grubauer must go and has been a big part of the losing season. I watch every game here in Australia. even when I am sitting in a pub in the middle of the day, they are on the Tablet.

Release the Kraken next year.

Seemed like Grubauer opened the season strong. Is he really beyond hope at this point?

He getting near beyond help. His defense in front of him hasn’t done he or CD any favors though.

He has flashes of brilliance.

Tighten up the defense in front of him and let’s see what happens.

That was a blessing plus they have a s.hit ton of draft picks this year and the next 2 years. Kraken are going to get good in a hurry.
