    It's a results-oriented business. The hitting was terrible. Of course the batting ccoach has to go. At the very least. It was the right decision. There has to be accountability. At the very least, you hope that it will shake things up.

    Haniger and Rojas came up big in the 8th, but the small things like Bliss drawing a walk and his speed made a difference, too. Putrid offensive performance from the 2nd to the 7th innings. And what was Julio doing in the 1st? Ran us out of a potential big inning.

    Totally agree. I certainly don't defend drafting Eskridge in any way, I'm just theorizing about how JS got there in the first place. Of course, we all know that after we cut him, the Chiefs will pick him up and Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes will turn him into a superstar.

    I love going to Yankee Stadium. Saw many Mariner games while I was in exile there, sometimes with my son, sometimes with my friend who is a diehard Yankees fan. I was also fortunate to go to a couple of the historical 2004 Red Sox/Yankees playoff games there.
