The Dodgers improved to 22-3 in the second half and moved a season-high 19 games over .500. Los Angeles leads the National League West by 7 1/2 games.

The Dodgers are 39-8 over their past 47 games, the franchise's best 47-game run since 1900, and the best mark for a Major League club since the New York Giants had the same record in a period of 47 games in 1951.

The Dodgers will get Hanley Ramirez back wed. and Matt Kemp will follow. More bad news for opposing teams.

Dodgers are breaking some sort of record almost every day, then they get Young in a minor league player trade. He is past his prime but can spell Uribe at third and Agon at first. He can still swing the bat as well.

The pitching has been very good from starters and the BP. Zack Greinke is hitting .340 as a pitcher. Maybe the M's should try to get him as DH...... :lol:

I had virtually zero expectations of Volquez winning last night. Also remember the rotation was shuffled to be ready for the Reds as we make the final push before the playoffs start.

Almost 3 months ago today the Dodgers were in last place by 9 1/2 games.

3 months later, they clinch the NL West.

September hasn't been all that, but with Kemp back in the line up, they are a formidable team for the post season.
