Killer Burger's pretty good. I've known people who say they don't like it but when I had it it was bomb.

East Bank Saloon, Henry's & Doug Fir all have really good burgers. There's a new spot on 8th in SE called White Owl that has a really good burger too. I can't really pick a favorite though.

Oh, and I've heard from multiple sources that Club 21 on Sandy has the best burger in town but I've not had a chance to check it out yet.

I hear Burger Master rivals Red Mill. Red Mill is very good.

One of the Best I have had The Apple Pan in West Los Angeles. Bluesy Lucy at Buckleys is money too. I've had a lot of great burgers naming one seems unfair. Red Mill has some really good ones. Dolores's in Santa Monica.

Best fast food burger is In & Out.

Burger Master isn't bad. In & Out is good but their fries suck.

There used to be a place just off the road in Washtucna that my family would stop at whenever we were visiting family in Pullman. The place is long gone, but I've never had a burger that held a candle to that place.

Effy's in Lewiston, Id.

Used to visit there regularly. Not sure if she's even still alive. Best burger I've ever had and I've traveled a lot of states.

Fall City drive inn would be #2

The Onion in Spokane.

I like Dick's a lot but these places are above and beyond.

There's a small mom and pop drive-up hamburger joint called Harold's in Centralia, its where my parents ate when they were kids in the 60's. Its not much to look at, but they make the best burger I've ever had. Big Tom's in Oly is also excellent.

Easy!

#1 is the Velvet Turtle in Palos Verdes, CA. The mustard and red onion combination was amazing.

#2 Rodeo Cafe in Clovis, CA. Big, tasty burger with fresh cut fries

#3 First time I had a double double at an In 'n Out in LA back in 1986ish, before that chain spread like the plague.

Since the last time I ate at #1 was in 1975 and the last time I ate at #2 was probably 1987, both places are probably no
longer in existence. Also, lots of memories are rolled up with those burgers, tilting them in favor of other burgers I have had since then.

John Howie has a great burger, I like that gourmet style.

As far as a moment of bliss and satisfaction meeting a hangover culminating in an out of body experience. Cougar Country in Pullman September 2011.

Gustavs in Leavenworth, or Elliot Bay Brewing in W. Seattle (great buffalo burgers), and of course, beer.

Too many places to list in Socal, but agree that In-N-Out is the best fast food burger. Oddly enough, I have watched them making fries there and you would think those fresh cut would be good and they are disappointing.

My favorite place to grab a good burger is sad to say Red Robin (I get the Royal Burger with a fried egg), always hot and juicy and delicious...

Second would have to be Minors in Yakima ( Back in the Day ) mid to late 80's. They've changed a bit since then.

Dick's is always a good inexpensive burger.. Never been to the one in Seattle, but the one in Spokane is the bomb.

I like Burgerville, my son likes 5 Guys which I have not tried yet. I get the occasional guttbomb from Roake's on Columbia or Joe Brown's in Vancouver, as already mentioned Dougfir has a good burger, I had a Lamb burger at Ramsey's Pub and Grill in Vegas that was fantastic.

If McDonald's is the best burger anyone has ever had, I will personally take them to a nice burger joint and buy them a burger. Out of pity, of course.

Vera's Burgers are the shiz. You can't beat Vera's meat!

yeah... they make a poutine burger...

Image

The Hulk Burger from Knight and Day used to be a favorite post clubbing meal. It was (IIRC) 2 patties, bavarian sausage, a fried egg and a lot of bacon (and the usual burger compliments). That thing was ridic. Too bad I think Knight and Day might be on it's last legs. There used to be like 10 of them around Vancouver, now there's only 2 left. I should go get one before they're gone forever...

My other favorite post club burger was of course Roxy Burger. This is without a doubt the juciest burger in the history of juicy burgers. This is a Vancouver burger institution. Ahh... those were the days... go to The Roxy (the club) and try to pick up a juicy piece of ass. If you strike out; go next door to Roxy Burger and pick up a juicy piece of meat. Either way you win (and will end up with slippery fingers).

Burger Heaven in New West is real good too. It's one of those places that makes the really thin patties, but puts like 5 of them on a burger. They have a 8 patty challenge burger; 2 lbs and a foot tall. It's awesome!

shit....... Now I have to go for burgers for lunch. And to think, I was planning on working out at lunch.

LOL, no I wasn't....

Peaches eats "hamburgers" made out of a pressed and steamed tofu and gluten patty on a organic sawdust and camel dung bun. As such, since he eats like prey, he will be the first to be eaten by the zombies.

No way. Riley went Velvet Turtle on all yall. I ate at the Turtle with my Grandpa and his brother in West LA in the early 80's when I was 2-8. I can't speak on the burgers.

Bulldog grill in Fresno has a killer avacado burger and all the burgees are pretty swell.

There used to be an old Dairy Queen in Vancouver WA that was never bought out by the Brazier franchise. They used to have the best damn burgers anywhere. I wonder if it's still there. Burgerville is another favorite. But now that I'm in the Seattle area I do love by some Bob's Burger and Brew and Blazing Onion. NOM

#1. Helen's Drive In, in Gardiner, Montana. 1/2 pound buffalo burger with the works, served with home-style fries and a huge pickle slice. And Helen remembers your name.

#2. Kua Aina Burger, in Haliewa, Hawaii. Three 1/2 pound specialties; all good: Ortega chili burger, avocado burger, and pineapple burger, all magnificent. Works, fries, right on the beach.

#3. Jeff's Pirates Cove, Talofofo, Guam. 1/2 pound burgers, or optional catch-your-own-fish-and-watch-them-cook-it burger. Served with fries and plenty of pirate ambiance. Quite literally a beach bar.

@ CANHawk: that Vera's burger looks like the shizzzzzzzznit! I'd eat the hell out of that burger!

@ Juggy: McGuires in P-Cola! Hells yes that is a great place!

Fat Smitty Burger in Port Townsend.

Image

The Smitty Burger is essentially a big mac with bacon, but made with real food and not whatever it is that comes out of a McDonalds. A double bacon cheeseburger with a bun in the middle. Smitty uses a blend of beef with relatively little fat (7%) that's made specifically for his restaurant by a butcher in Silverdale and you can taste the difference. It's fresh, juicy, and if you put the burger down, you won't be able to pick it back up again. The fries are good, but you hardly need them after the giant burger.

Tiny's Tavern in Ocean Beach had a damn good burger with all the fixins. I was planning to go to Hodad's but I was persuaded otherwise by the locals.

I think Herfy's is really underrated. I love the Herfy's in Georgetown. Great place to get a burger and fries. They have great fry sauce too.

There's a Bob's in Kennewick too, south end of town by the new High School (Southridge). I've eaten there several times on my way back home to Vancouver from visiting family in Spokane. Pretty damned good indeed.

Wow. Herfy's. Haven't heard that name in awhile. I used to work at the one on Elliot Ave between Queen Anne and Magnolia back in high school. I don't believe it's there anymore, fact, I didn't think they even existed anymore. I always thought they had some really good burgers. Half priced employee meals. Oh man, the perks of working in the fast food industry 8)

There was a tavern on the north side of queen anne by the Fremont bridge that was known for it's burgers, 310 tavern i think it was called, yeah they were damn tasty.

A Super Mother from the Tav in Ellensburg are worth the stop if your passing through.

There was a place like that in Cali I went to once and I just thought it was too many options. You would have to eat there too many times before you dialed in the correct sequence. I think thsts why In & Out is so popular. Its simple and pretty close to perfect.

5 guys does indeed make some righteous french fries. The peanut oil makes all the difference. And it is a very tasty burger.
