Just curious if any of my fellow dot netters ever watch this cult classic?

It's a crazy show and I have no real explanation why it is so funny but I find it hilarious.

A guilty pleasure.. Kinda like french kissing a third cousin or something.. 8-)

I agree, it's a guilty pleasure. A hysterically guilty pleasure.

It's one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. Honestly, most of the best comedy exists outside of America.

Didn't know they had a TPB3. Will have to go find that one. Bubbles is a maniac. Thought they were done. Had watched all the movies and seasons I could find.

Doc, they just finished up filming TPB3.

Sad that Shitty Bill and Phil Collins both passed away recently, though. I'll miss the mustard tiger.

I've watched that sh*t off and on for years. It's pretty funny sometimes but I've never really been able to get all the way into it.

Phil was the guy that had the large beer gut and owned the food wagon, breath smelled of fish if I remember correctly. Shitty Bill, I have forgotten about him. Bubbles and Jay-Rock's porn industry. Good stuff.

The humor was off-center, sort of like this place. Lahey was pain and slowed down the show sometimes and the boys could never win in the end. Every season ended with them in the slammer. Ricky's car with the missing door. The guy was a doofus and a playa at the same time. "I got my grade 10!"

I've found countless sitcoms I've enjoyed from Netflix thru my Roku box from other countries.

TPB's, for what it is, is pretty well written imo. A solid mockumentary.

Peep Show is another of my favs. But it's really an all or one show. You either like it, or it sucks.

If anyone has any suggestions for great viewing that is out of market, I'd appreciate it.

Comic Strip presents is a good one from the early 80's in the UK. Best episode is "Mr. jolly lives next door". Also, 'A Bit of Fry and Laurie' is pretty funny, too.

Second that. Mr Jolly Lives Next Door is phenomenal, as is much of what the Comic Strip, Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson have done.

Nathan Barley was great - I don't know if it works as well if you haven't lived in London, or any other 'hip' city
If you have a family I'd recommend Outnumbered, especially the first few series.
As you mention, Peep Show is good.

For non-UK, I'm a huge fan of Back of the Y (New Zealand). Summerheights High (Australia) is pretty sweet too.

Ahhhh I love Peep Show. Such a funny, unique show. Super Hans is one of the best characters from any show.

IT Crowd isn't bad. Weird sense of humor fits right in for me.

If you liked Summerheights High, the same guy did something a couple of years ago called "Angry Boys" which is worth a watch. Again, probably a love it/hate it kind of thing.

If you think IT Crowd is weird humour, then there are a couple of BBC shows that you have to watch - League of Gentlemen and Psychoville. I love IT Crowd (the "Countdown" episode is one of the funniest things I have ever seen), but it's not even in the foothills of weird compared to those shows.

I also met a group of Americans who thought another UK comedy, The Mighty Boosh, was fantastic. I never really thought that would work for America, but they loved it (although for some reason they thought it was German).

League of Gentlemen for sure. The mighty Boosh was hit or miss for me. Felt like they were trying too hard sometimes.

I'm Alan Partridge should be required viewing for anyone who is currently alive. Don't think it's still on netflix, though.

Actually, just noticed we are 20 posts in and no one has mentioned Flight of the Conchords? Although those guys are from New Zealand, I'm sure HBO were involved with the making of the show, so you should be able to get it quite easily in the US?

The Mighty Boosh was ok (some episodes were fantastic, to be fair) but Noel Fielding gets on my tits.

I saw Hot Fuzz again the other day which reminded me that another viewing of Spaced is in order.

And yeah, love Flight of thd Concords.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I've made a note of them. Looking forward to trying them out.

IT crowd is next on my list after Saxondale, which for some reason I find funny.

Saxondale is probably Steve Coogan's weakest show.

Nah, what was that other character - Tony Ferrino?

I've heard that from other friends as well.

Saxondale is only 13 episodes so it's pretty short.

I find moments of it funny. Coogan's role as the 'dirty bum boy/ Keanu Reeves' is pretty funny.

Looking forward to checking out some of the shows suggested. Having two young kids, streaming is my only way to really enjoy TV.

Childish but fantastic. They even made a film.

Here's my impersonation of EVERY episode of the Inbetweeners:

"Fanny arse tits wank clunge bollocks wanker"

Or some variation of the above.

You've obviously been away in 'merica for too long. You just described what you hear anytime you take a bus.

They are filming season 8 right now. I'm pretty excited. And with a new movie to come out soon.
