SR: is primarily a run defender, Keeps feet moving to press pocket, shows burst off the line, plays with good pad level and shows he has a good motor. Performed well as a junior against LSU & Alabama could be worth a look but he does not have the size that JS/PC look for but he does have power (32 reps) so maybe they can coach him into being a 3-tech in the rotation.

Crisis averted

I am intrigued by Boyd as well. That said, the intrigue is limited to his numbers. Draft sites are inconsistent with his grade. His length is not unusual, but good enough. I would enjoy watching him in the preseason, if he were a later round pick.
