  • A video of me playing guitar. It's a tad bit sloppy, Was practicing and came up with a little something and decided to put my webcam to use finally.

I will actually record this song and put some bass guitar and maybe some other instruments to back it, but for now just camera audio.

  • I didn't play for the better part of 3 years or so, thanks to this shitty Genetic Disorder I have, but after alot of Occupational Therapy, hard work, and surgeries I'm finally starting to get some of my ability back.

  • Really nice, man. Fingerstyle playing has always fascinated me (though I've never sat down and tried to put any work into learning it myself).

  • "And so I'll dream a bass will join me and fill the bottom in.
And maybe now some lead guitar so it would not sound so thin."

"I need some drums to set the beat and help me keep in time.
And way back in the distance some strings would sound so fine."

"And we'd all play together like fine musicians should.
And it would sound like music, and the music would sound good."

"But in real life I'm stuck with this same old formula.
With my monophonic symphony,,6 string orchesta."

Ahhh great! Now I'm gonna have that sweet sound stuck in my head all day! :179417:

Amazing stuff. If strumming chords is playing guitar than yeah, I play guitar as well. Moreso, I can appreciate the hours and hours of hard work that goes into playing. Practice, practice, practice. Never seen your finger style before. Usually, it's real fast stuff done my metal guitarists.

You're very talented man. Look forward to hearing what you add to that piece. Seems to me though, less is more.

In my next life I'm selling my soul to the Devil at the cross-roads and coming back one wicked guitar player.

  • Greenhell, strumming is most definitely playing. I'm always saddened by those snobbish musicians who think if you don't play 500 notes every measure, that you aren't a "real musician". I mean, I love shred though, but its admittedly wankery, and it's not required to be considered a musician :thirishdrinkers:

    *edit*

Also, thanks everyone for all the great responses. Kind of surprising to me, to be honest, but it means alot.

I Will have some higher quality and finished originals coming soon! Plan on writing some sort of tribute to .net too at some point, since this is my home away from home.

  • And if you are still comin down to SoCal this summer, I can hook us up in a studio, and I have a few musician friends down here that can pop off some chops and a good time will be had by all.

Seeing work like yours is an inspiration to pick a guitar again. Sold my acoustic a few years ago but tempted to head down to my pawnshop and pick me up another just to strum a few chords. Look forward to your new vids.

That will be fantastic. I'm always down to jam, any style, anytime! The lady and I still plan on making a trip down that way this summer.
