Here is my last one: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=66672

Let's get to it.

2nd round (56th overall): DJ Swearinger, CB/S, South Carolina
Image
Scouting Report: http://www.rotoworld.com/articles/cfb/4 ... swearinger
Quote:
The unit as a whole took on Swearinger's personality, playing with equal part's cockiness and violent reckless abandonment.
(Sounds like Legion of Boom material already) In most mocks I see DJ Swearinger drafted around the late 3rd round. There is a chance he could be there at our 3rd but I don't think the Seahawks will risk it. Carroll and Schneider's mentality has been if they like a player they will take him regardless of where he is projected. Swearinger is a versatile player who can play both safety positions and cornerback. He is a vocal leader and many of his teammates say he is the most competitive player on the team. Pete was asked recently what he looks for in players and he said one of the the most important things he looks for is their competitiveness.
Highlights:
(Check out 1:38 :))
(2:04 shows his competitiveness)

3rd round (87th overall): Zaviar Gooden, OLB, Missouri

Highlights:

4th round (123rd overall): Jordan Reed, TE, Florida

Scouting Report: http://walterfootball.com/scoutingreport2013jreed.php
Highlights:

5th round (138th overall): Zac Dysert, QB, Miami (OH)
Image
Scouting Report: http://www.sbnation.com/nfl-mock-draft/ ... ing-report
Quote:
When moving around, Dysert seems to be at his best. He manages to find his way through a messy pocket comfortably while keeping his eyes down field looking for the big play. He's also able to make strong and accurate throws while he is one the move and outside of the pocket. Dysert is a solid athlete with the ability to escape pressure and slip through sacks. While he's not by any means a running quarterback, he does have the ability to scramble and take what the defense gives him on a certain play.

Highlights:

5th round (158th overall): Kerwynn Williams, RB, Utah State

Highlights:

6th round (194th overall): Garrett Gilkey, OT, Chadron State

(Story of him growing up)

7th round (220th overall): John Boyett, FS, Oregon

Highlights:

7th round (231st overall): Brandon Kaufman, WR, Eastern Washington

7th round (241st overall): Steve Beauharnais, LB, Rutgers

7th round (242nd overall): Micah Hyde, CB, Iowa

Let me know what you think, good or bad. Thanks!

I like it! I do doubt that Gooden will be available in the 3rd, and Reed in the 4th though.

I really like the first two picks I think Zavier Gooden would be perfect fit for the Seahawks. He can run down anyone from the backside and his speed will help neutralize the Pistol offense but i think he will be taken earlier than expected maybe early 3rd.

D.J. Swearinger would make a great Seahawk. His game just reeks of Seahawk. I'm also lovin the Dysert pick. On a side note, both of their highlight videos are epic.

Swearinger AND Boyett joining the LoB? That would be insane. Heat-seeking missiles all over the place.

And of course, the obligatory "love the Kerwynn Williams pick" comment. This would be a pretty nice draft, although I don't know if all those guys are going to fall that far in the draft.

I think we need to pay closer attention to who we are bringing in for private workouts. Hawks have had a higher selection rate (including udfa) based on those visits than any other team in the league. Davis hsu (twitter) pointed out some stats on the topic and has a running list of who has been in and out. Worth a look.

From the looks of him, gilkey could step right in for mcQ :p. I like the mock, but it looks like pure safe depth picks. Would be nice to get even one potential impact guy.

Agree I feel like D.J. would be a great fit. There is always one guy I really really want the Seahawks to draft every year. Last year was Turbin, this year it's DJ Swearinger.

I'm not sure that's the QB I'd pick... But every other pick is out of the park.

DJ Swearinger is my choice at 56 as well, barring a weird fall of a great player. Swearinger is perfect for us.

Nice picks, I'd be happy if we could get gooden in the 3rd but wonder if we can risk hoping we can get a starting LB there. I suspect LB int he 2nd if Brown, Green, or Moore are available.

Liked adding a CB
Jordan Reed
K. Williams
and the WR from Eastern

I would be happy with this. The only exception would be Gilkey and only because I don't know much about him.
