Both great calls. Chino's work on the latest Deftones album is just jaw-dropping.

I'd add Mikael Akerfeldt and Mike Patton to the list.

    Female: Sarah Brightman.

Sarah - best known for Phantom of the Opera:

(P.S. Steve Harley is shit compared to Michael Crawford as the Phantom)

Also made some great music on her own:

    Josh doing 'Brave'

Both together, though Sarah is a bit past her prime - still got an amazing voice though.

This lady has lots of voice but hasn't the "feeling" behind it. Its just music by rote.

Me, I'd take the ones below with a tip of the hat to Celene Dion

    Barbara Streisand

    Ann Wilson

Neal Diamond in the earlier years

  • Totally forgot about Boxcar Willie.

Good call, Donk. Early Boxcar was amazing. Then the fame started going to his head and the song writing got repetitious and lazy. His dark period when he was hooked on trannies and ludes had some good songs, but not an 8 track worth, know what I'm sayin.

Still, for my money the best hobo musician since Anne Murray.
