  • Bonnie Tyler - Total Eclipse of the Heart
    The Corrs - Breathless
James Horner (Titanic soundtrack) - The Portrait. (100% piano piece.)

I can't think of any others in my list, but there are probably a couple of others that qualify. (I'm also not sure if the Bonnie Tyler one qualifies as 'guilty', though.)

  • I also like Marina+Diamonds.

I usually don't give a $%@! what people think of the music I like, and I do like some of just about everything under the sun except for Country, which I loath with a passion.

Some not guilty pleasures, but potentially embarrassing ones would be:

    Lady Gaga
    Madonna
    Pat Benatar
    Marina+Diamonds
    Katy Perry

Some people would consider The Killers a guilty pleasure, but I don't, I can honestly say they are my favorite rock band of the last decade and I could listen to Brandon Flowers sing about watching paint dry and the book of mormon.

  • My workout playlist has Death Metal bands, and stuff like Kimbra, and the Ting Tings haha. Not really a "guilty pleasure" though as I don't really try to hide the fact that I'm one of the few Metal musicians who likes pop music and mainstream stuff too.

If it sounds good, I like it.

  • Yeah, my playlists are schizo. I have norwegian black metal, death metal, 80's music, 90's alternative, techno, glam rock, pop, and some select rap. I even have operatic metal like Nightwish lol. Love opera+metal. That and hot Finnish chics don't hurt.

  • As you get older you realize there is no such thing as a guilty pleasure, either the music moves you in some way or it does not.

I was listening to "Top of the World" by the Carpenters the other day thinking what a brilliant song this is :D I would have punched myself in the face 20 years ago :D

  • Good music in most any genre will move me. Neil Diamonds has caught me several times. Love on the Rocks, Morningside,Done to soon, & others.(talking live performances here)

But almost the entire Top Gun album had that effect on me. ESPECIALLY Take my Breath Away by Berlin.

Hell even the country song From this Moment on by Shania Twain. Of course looking at her is a guilty pleasure to me. lol

This is exactly me too. I listened to hair metal back then, and hated the '80s pop scene. Now it's a guilty pleasure.

Another guilty pleasure is Irish drinking songs. I'll listen to them every month of the year, not just during March.

  • Almost forgot; I LOVE show tunes. Being a thespian myself, I love musical theatre.

My favorite musicals are probably Hairspray, Rent, and Guys and Dolls. No particular order.

  • I'd say anything with a banjo in it (i.e. bluegrass music). I'm a die hard country music fan and lean that way when I play the guit but, bluegrass always makes me look like a crazy person when it's cranked up in the car even as I drive through Puyallup. Don't know if that's a guilty pleasure or just pleasure-pleasure but... yeah.

  • When I sold electronics at Sears circa 1999 that freaking backstreet boys song played on our endless loop of terror. It's forever ingrained in my mind.

Also in that loop was Christina Aguilerra's Genie in a Bottle (which I suppose counts as a guilty pleasure, but what 19 year old kid wouldn't want to watch that video?).

  • Fall Out Boy is putting out some real quality songs since they've gotten back together. Like, REAL quality songs. They're the best they've ever been right now. Great music for some highlight videos. "Put on your war paint!"

  • REO Speedwagon. Actually their first 5 or so albums aren't pop fluff and I liked them beginning with their 2nd album way back in like '72. But starting with Hi Infidelity it got very sappy and crappy (outside of maybe "Take It On The Run"). None the less, I like it. Put me down for the 80s new wave stuff too. Hated it back then. Spent all my time listening to Ozzy, Van Halen, U2 and of course Rush but now I hear it and gotta say I dig a fair amount of it.
