I totally agree with you. Pete should definetly bring in one of the above average backup quarterbacks that are still available.

I mean, that's probably true, but what do we expect from a backup quarterback? Seneca Wallace was probably average at best, and hell Flynn is probably going to be average at best. Thigpen is cheap and he's a guy where if Wilson has to miss 4 games I think he could probably give you a good shot at winning at least 2 of them. If Wilson misses more than that our season is going to be in serious trouble no matter who we can reasonably expect to be our backup QB.

most 2nd string QB's are average at best. as long as they aren't hurting the team.

We would be a good team with an average QB.

We just happen to have an excellent QB, hence in the superbowl discussion.

Flynn will be better than average, take that to the bank.

We should bring in Thigpen to start, so we can above an above average backup . . .
