Non-Seattle Area Seahawks fans. How do you get your game?

The Essential Online Seahawks Fan Forum Community. There simply is NO substitute. RATING: PG-13
  • Just curious how everyone gets to see their Hawks when they don't live in the Broadcast zone.
Born and raised in Seattle myself, but stayed in the Bay Area following college. :49ersmall: :49ersmall:
Don't get too mad. Lynch is from this area.

    So 2 questions:

    1. Where do you live?
    2. Where do you watch specifically (Sunday Ticket, Sports Bar, Game Rewind)?

    I'll go first.

    1. Berkeley, CA.
    2. Brennan's (Usual), Pyramid Alehouse (AM games), Golden Gate Fields (Rare). In Sacramento i go to a sports bar called "MVP". (So my grandma can watch her :49ersmall:, and i can watch my Hawks)

My Mom's whole side is from Sacramento. Really wish it wasn't the Kings that Seattle was trying to buy.

MVP's is a good spot for the games. (L and 21st). Spot for he Hawks usually has 1-2 tables open.

I watch games using the first row (.eu) unless if it's a big game that gets nationally broadcasted then i'll watch with my friends at a sports bar.

I have Seahawks season tickets so I see some games in person every year. Otherwise, it's NFL Sunday Ticket.

There is a good Seahawkers club in the Denver area for those who want to watch the games with fellow fans. I've got grade school kids so its hard for me to meet up these days.

We're in Phoenix as well and besides the one game a year we also watch on Sunday Ticket. However, we just moved to the outskirts of North Scottsdale and are definitely set on watching atleast one game at the Skeptical Chymist. See You there!

Well, I do happen to follow Buddhist philosophy. But yeah, it's pretty difficult sometimes. The only games that were spoiled for me this last season were the Cowboys and Vikings games. I did watch the home 49ers game at a sports bar and the Falcons game with some friends, though.

    2. Johnny's Cathouse - it's usually pretty empty and they have a good selection of microbrews and they're cheap - the bartender is a 49er fan, but believe it or not he's a good guy and always puts the hawks game on as soon as i walk in. Plus, it's real close to home.

What part of WV? I'm from Beckley but being that I'm in the Air Force I haven't lived there for almost 14 years.

    But to answer the question

    1. Currently Asheville NC
    2. I just got Sunday Ticket last season but I've used online streaming or The Armed Forces Network when I've been overseas. They usually show all the games but some aren't live.

If the Sunday Ticket via the PS3 would be made available without needing a DirecTV sub or some evidence that you can't do the satellite LOS, I'd do that.

  • While I'm here in the promised land now, I spent 20 years as a migrant wanderer, courtesy of Uncle Sam. In Spain, Afghanistan, and other exotic locales, I got them on AFN (occasionally), but other than that, I had to F5 scores on the Internet (post-Al Gore), and hear by word of mouth or highlights (pre-Al Gore). In California, I either got the games on the Internet by hook or by crook, or went out to watch the games in a bar with all those lovable Raiders and 49ers fans. Back in Maryland, aside from the occasionally nationally televised game, it was either the Internet, or going out to a bar to spend quality time with Redskins, Ravens, and Stealers fans.

I'm so happy to be back home!

Been watching on NFL Sunday Ticket since moving away from Seattle in 1996. I've seen every Hawks game since.

Like Boiler said, there's a good Seahawkers group here in Denver to watch games with. Like him, though, I'm busy with my young kids so I haven't been to the get-togethers lately. In the meantime I've been working on getting my son addicted to Seahawks football! Even took him to his first game this preseason here in Denver when Wilson cemented the starting job.

  • In Yakima I get the 'Hawks on Fox and CBS. Except when money-grubbing Fox and
money-grubbing DISH network do "he said, she said" for a month last fall.

They forced me to hook up a window antennae to receive digital over the air signals
on my bedroom TV. Man, I like the picture better than the High Definition one
    from Dish.

As an aside, DISH offers only a college football premium package. No Sunday Ticket.
Might be grounds for changing to Direct.

I go to this locally owned restaurant Buffalo's. They have a back room with every game showing that day so it's a nice environment. Sadly, I'm the only Seahawks fan there, and they know it, but they treat me nicely. I always represent!

  • New Jersey.

I watch most games at home in the SeaDen on Sunday Ticket. Before I bought my current house I made sure it had a good LOS for DirecTV or I wouldn't have bought it [knowing I would have kids soon and my days of watching every game at a sports bar were ending].

For some key games when I can sneak away I love to watch at Carlow East bar in NYC, or my favorite place - Century Link Field!
