A lot better gas mileage than what I bought on Sunday.... ouch :?

  • This kicks ass. Gets 22 city and 33 hwy....also a 2.0 turbo 4 cyl. that absolutely rips once the turbo spools up.

We have these options...Power panorama roof. Sync touch or voice activated climate, entertainment, or GPS. Tow package with the larger brakes, and power lift gate and 18" spoke wheels, ruby red metallic paint.

It is very fun to drive, and it feels like you are in a space ship, and has a lot of space in the back.

  • Nice. I like the color; congrats!

Plus, I'm a fan of Ford because they were the first major car manufacturer to build touchscreen systems into their vehicles, and they declined taking a big chunk of bailout money because they were confident they could become profitable again without it.

We test drove Rav 4, Equinox, Santa Fe, Mazda 5, CRX, BMW, and Lexus.

This Ford kicked all their asses in every category, and even online they win every consumer report in the segment. Plus Ford has made quite a resurgence in recent years and are putting out awesome cars.

  • I dig the new vehicles Ford is coming out with - my wife and I (ok, just me) picked up a '12 Explorer Limited last year, fully loaded. You're right, it feels like a spaceship, with all the screens n' stuff. I love driving it when I'm allowed. First thing I did was change the background on the touch screen:

I shouldn't even respond to this trolling attempt. Calling that a "touchscreen system" is like calling a penguin a bird. Technically correct, realistically BS. :)

  • Impressive for the time, but still NOTHING compared to what's available now. Do you say a little thank-you to Étienne Lenoir, the man who invented the internal combustion engine, every time you start your car? Didn't think so.

  • I still love my commodore 64 :D and actually it came out in 1985 but most Buick customers were older then dirt and were afraid of it so it died in 1989 or 90 I believe. And if it took a dump you were pretty much screwed :D I while in high school (late 80's) I washed cars at the local Cadillac dealership and when some blue hairs would be looking at the buick the salesmen would make me come over and explain how it all worked for them :D GM was way ahead of their time with this stuff, had they stuffed this in a Chevy or a Pontiac it could have been industry standard a long time ago.

  • Hey Ford hasn't been bad since the 80s. Once the second gen Escort and Taurus hit the market, they were decent cars. Sure there are a few weaknesses, but look at how many second generation Escorts and Tauruses and third gen for that matter are still on the road, that tells you a lot.
