Watching him on NFL Network. I forgot how intelligent and articulate he is. Still lamenting letting him go. He'd feature very well in this offense. Oh well.

Considering he is an alum of O'Dea, i am not surprised.

I miss him too. Local guys, whom LOVE to rep the 206, should always be Seahawks.

Remember when he was the best weapon on the offense?

Those days sucked.

True...but, not his fault. Plus, he was a stellar return guy. I forget why Pete let him walk - was it a matter of $, perceived fit, or something else?

I dont recall, Finn. My guess is money and fit.

As to Scotte's point, yeah, Nate should never be confused with a #1. He's a great #3, depth guy.

Nate Burleson!! Another in the long line of former Vikings turned Seahawks!

All WRs or DLine, also...

Who can name all six from memory?

When he was on the show either Monday or Tuesday they asked him about Cliff Avril and he said that when he first got to the Lions they were playing basketball and Avril got the ball in the open court and did a 360 windmill dunk that looked like Dominique Wilkins. He said he has amazing athletic ability for a guy his size.

Detroit wanted him a lot more than we did. I think he signed with the Lions 10 minutes after free agency started that year.

For the most part, he wasn't all that special, but that catch he had in the Redskins playoff game alone was worth what we paid for him. Very underrated moment in Seahawks history.

He might not have been all that special but his returns beat the rams and allowed us to make the playoffs that year.

I guess maybe my perception of "special" might be a bit different than others... yeah, Nate's been a damn solid player that's put together a pretty long and successful career in the freakin' National Football League as a middle core receiver in addition to being a good, standup guy, good teammate, represented Seattle and Washington well... and always seems to be enjoying the journey.

Pretty special in my book.
