I would sign him for a 2 yr deal to play leroys hills spot then draft a stud and let them compete that would be awesome! Remember he was a safety like kam inthe beggining would he be god to play olb on the hawks

This idea is about as sensible and plausible as acquiring Peyton Manning to run the read option.

At least you didn't suggest signing him as an MLB and moving Wags.

There is a reason the Bears don't want him back, and its
not that they can't afford him.

I think it's time for Urlacher to hang up his cleats and join Lewis in retirement. Hate to see these guys go out like this. He was one of the best for a long time. I guess he doesn't want to go softly into that good night.

He just wants to go out on his terms just like all of us.

He'll land somewhere. Hell, Lofa stayed out a year and he landed a gig in Atlanta... but only to get re-injured and never to see the field during the regular season.

Baltimore might be interested. They definitely have LB-er needs.

BTW, this should be moved to NFL Nation.

Lots of respect for Urlacher, but I'd rather roll with Smith/Morgan than bring in a slower, older guy who might have great instincts, but not the speed to match them any longer. He's not an upgrade, and signing him would just be throwing money at a name.

I guarantee we draft for this spot, at the very least for competition.

That's definitely what these guys would do!

Urlacher mighta ran a 4.5 back in the day, but I can almost guarantee that he'd run a 5 flat now. He makes Manti Te'o look like Chris Johnson. Hey, while we're at it, how bout we trade Beast Mode for Chris Johnson? Sell high!
