    trying to get something rather than just cutting him?

    Leon brings value beyond his on the field play, though that is very good.
    He is a leader in the locker room and an enthusiastic one on the sidelines.

  • Leon was 3rd in the NFL last year in KO return average. I've said it before, but it's hard to justify trying to get the top two guys, or expecting a rookie to come in, and beat the 3rd guy who's already on your team.

    We have bigger holes, and guys making more money to worry about. Leon will stay this year at least.

    If he's only a return specialist next year, maybe they restructure him, but even at 3.5 million, he's not that expensive for what he brings to the team.

    Any speculation after this year is going to be contingent upon how much money we give Harvin.
