With Smith and Bayless. This could get interesting.

very difficult decision.. previously I told others that I would rather jerk off a bobcat in a phone booth than listen to Smith and Bayless.. but I would love to hear Sherm put them in their place...

Here's the upside - you won't be able to find a bobcat before 1230 so it will have to be an IOU.

However, all Hawks fans should know the four time zones in the continental United States; or at least the two coasts.

Not even Sherm can get me to watch Skip Clueless and Stephen A(hole). Along with Kornholer, they're as bad as sports TV gets.
.
.
.
BTW, how does a guy as reasonable, smart and pleasant as Wilbon put up with Kornholer?

I thought Sherman made it personal. Which is fine, before the show, Bayless did say Sherman doesn't belong in the same conversation as Revis. That is pretty personal.

I really don't know what to think of that interview. I love Sherm and I love the fact that he made Skip look silly at some points, but yet he also came off and a little harsh and rude.

I wish he hadn't done the show. It isn't possible to swim in a slimy pond and stay clean.

Agree somewhat.. but he made it clear that he was out to discredit him.. Bayless makes a living spewing baseless opinions instead of facts when he puts down athletes

I think a lot of it is Sherman wants to be a superstar and for everyone to know who he is. if he keeps up his play and his talk that will happen. Go Sherm!

Haven't seen the interview yet. I didn't think it was possible for Seahawks fans to like Sherman more than we already did, but if this is as good as it sounds then Sherm is going to turn into an ATF.

True, but I don't think Sherman has to defend himself in this way to a guy like Skip Bayless whose only goal is to get a reaction like the one Sherman just gave.

You don't see any other high level athlete stoop down to Bayless' level(LeBron, Aaron Rogers, etc).

You could tell Sherm was upset and that made it a bit uncomfortable to watch. However, IMO, he dressed down Bayless. Especially when he asked what his facts were when Skip said that Sherm isn't in the same league as Revis. Bayless rattled of some opinions and Sherm called him on it. No facts, all opinions. Loved it.

I'm glad he's treating Skip Dickless this way to tell you the truth. It's probably close to something I would say to him because he's such an ignorant arrogant prick. He burned him a few times pretty tough, even though he dodged a question or two.

His line about being better at life looked like it cut deep haha. Sherm pointed out that Skip doesn't spit any facts just his bogus opinion, which is 100% spot on.

Seems so far Sherman is getting some positive feedback on his interview. I doubt it stays that way as pro-Bayless folks start their side of the spin

Quote:
Pete Prisco ‏@PriscoCBS

Richard Sherman almost made Skip Bayless cry and rightfully so since skip said he's not in same class with Revis. Moronic

I think it was more than what Skip anticipated, he pushed hard since yesterday about how much "fun" he was going to have trash talking Sherm.

When Skip said multiple times that Sherm isn't even in the same stratosphere as Revis, it pushed Sherm too far. The interview was uncomfortable because Sherm was visibly upset. Luckily he wasn't in the studio, or who knows what may have happened. He was right though that Skip only spews opinion and the facts do not back up what he claims.

The fact that Skip Bayless is saying the 49er's should offer the Jets a 2nd round, 2x 3rd rounders and whatever else it takes to bring an aging CB coming off of a major knee injury, shows me that whatever he says should be taken lightly. Besides the claim that Tim Tebow is a great QB should also diminish what he says.

Also, I thought Skip was pretty disrespectful with Michael Robinson on the show the other day. He completely dismissed Robinson's comments that Tim Tebow should look at his moving from QB to FB as an inspiration and think about it. Seemed like good advice to me.

Well come 2013 season I pity the teams we play, pretty sure Sherman is going to go all out to make anything stat wise done before look pedestrian. Just hop in his effort to put up ungodly numbers he doesn't lose his focus on the teams agenda.

After the Bears game, Skip Bayless said this:

The man is already a proven moron. There is no purpose in arguing with him.

I was pretty surprised how upset he was. I didn't think anybody really took Skip that seriously to actually be mad about what he was saying.

ESPN pays Bayless to try and make people upset and stir things up and he succeeded in that interview. It was very awkward to watch.

It's funny to me how people get riled up over what Skip Bayless says. He's a sports personality. He plays a part and plays it well, very polarizing and people tune in to see what he will say next.

He's on TV, what's his purpose? To maintain and gain viewers, he does that.

When you have a professional troll like Bayless, it's best to play him at his own game. Call him John Clayton on air or something like that. Or just don't go on the show. Fact is, Skip takes this reaction to the meeting about his next contract. His job is to get people talking about him.

Nothing beats when Mark Cuban just flat out decimated Bayless for just speaking in generalities and having nothing substantive to say about basketball.

Where did Bayless play, how many trophys, how many National accolades for his position while up behind a microphone spewing his opinionated bullshit, that he should be given any credibility, ESPECIALLY when argueing with ANY player?
Put your lame ass out there on the field and SHOW us all how it's done.
As far as Revis goes?, Sherman has proven (so far) that his numbers and Revis' aren't so far apart, and surly NOT enough that Clueless or anyone else can find footing to back their arguement.
For the most part, Sherman is having fun with people, but if they take him for granted, and show disrespect, then he will make them prove that they can back it up.
He doesn't feel that he should be appolegetic to others when they underestimate, or try'n dismiss him as being all mouth, and no ass.
He backs up his self assuredness with excellent play.

Also . . . Sherman benefits from playing on one of the top defenses in the league . . .

Where was that defense before Sherman got here? Where was our pass rank in 2010?

Hint: We were 27th in passing yards allowed and 29th in passing TD's.

Hell no, Sherman told him, that he produces no facts, only opinions, "THAT'S WHY NOBODY LISTENS TO YOU"

Sherman absolutely destroyed Bayless. He said things that everyone believes, but nobody has ever stepped up and said to him out loud before. It was EPIC. Did Sherman go too far a couple times? Sure. But I love it!! Winced a little bit when he said he was a Stanford grad and better at life than Bayless, but it is true. The Stanford thing was about as beautiful a backhanded slapdown that I have ever seen in an interview, and Bayless deserves it more than anyone in the media. Dude is a low-life scum-sucking slug. And all he could do was sit there and say, "Well, that's good, I'm glad you think that... etc...". Punk.

That interview is going to go down in sports history, kinda like the Everett/Rome interview. There will be youtube videos of it for years. People will remember that for a long, long time and it was a Seahawk!! The best part was Sherman saying he wanted a SuperBowl.

I LOVE SHERMAN. He is quickly becoming my all-time favorite Seahawk ever.

When you have a professional troll like Bayless, it's best to play him at his own game. Call him John Clayton on air or something like that. Or just don't go on the show. Fact is, Skip takes this reaction to the meeting about his next contract. His job is to get people talking about him.

Hell no, Sherman told him, that he produces no facts, only opinions, "THAT'S WHY NOBODY LISTENS TO YOU"

If no one listened to Skip Bayless, then no one would have an opinion of Skip Bayless...

Sherm flipped the script and insulted Bayless back, which nobody ever does, awesome.

first off now i know why i've never seen that show.. i absolutely hate that arrogant pr**k Stephen A, he knows his basketball, but football?

then Bayless, what do you say about that di*k head that hasn't already been said., he's why i stopped watching that show that's formatted like a game show, where they hit there buzzers and get points for certain answers.. can't remember the name..

but even just watching the small snippet, i can't help but get the feeling that Sherm feels like he's been disrespected in some way and is now on a rampage to right his name.. and i'm not sure why he's feeling like he needs to do that.. i don't recall anybody questioning his play on national tv.. maybe i missed something? could this whole tyrade be stemming from the pro bowl snub?

well if you look back through first take clips its not the first time skip bayless has slighted seahawks players, and even if he's just doing it because controversy = ratings thats no reason to not call him on it.

it doesn't exactly hurt sherman's value to get himself talked about as much as possible. if it werent' for sherman being so vocal he'd likely still be overlooked despite his stats. He's known more becuase of "u mad bro" and adderall than he is for his play at least nationally.

So, saying sherman got 'trolled' and is only helping skip's career isn't giving enough credit to how sherman's taken it upon himself to give his own name some recognition and value.
