Ertz's arms were measured at 31 3/4", or about an inch-and-a-half shorter than most of the other top TE prospects. This might be trouble, surmise draft experts, because arms are useful things for catching footballs and blocking football players and the more arm you have, the better you presumably are at those things.

Seahawks like to draft players with long arms so it will be interesting to see if we still target Ertz in Rd 1. If this really hurt his draft stock then we might be able to steal him in rd 2.

The funny thing is that our QB's arm length (31") is almost the same as a TE who stands 6'6" tall.

Not sure why this would be an issue, given his role at the next level would be mostly as a receiver/joker style tight end. Compare his arm length to the receivers and let's see if they're still comparably short.

Now I know why he had to jump for some of those passes. Poor guy can't even scratch his own balls.

Glad there were some draft experts around to tell us that arms are useful in catching footballs and blocking people

He somehow managed to catch a bunch of passes and generally play a great all around game despite those short arms

we all know RW is 5'10" and is noted for large hands,...does anyone know how long his arms are?,...maybe he has long arms to help with a high release point, making it more difficult to knock down his passes,...
