I know he got beat consistently badly on the outside, but he was always in the receivers hip pocket.
Would he be ok in the slot against smaller pass catchers?

Even if he was decent enough in coverage he's not physical enough in the run game to play nickel.

If Jennings were just a little more physical, I'd not have a problem if they brought him to camp, but he has no ball skills and is a wuss. Sadly, he ain't qualified.

Only if we bring back Aaron Curry to take over for Leroy Hill too.
I dont understand the desire on this site lately to bring back our old crappy players. Especially given that our current front office has shown an amazing ability to find great players in cheap places.

i would take curry back. I'm sure he's better than malcom smith. He just wasnt' nearly good enough for his contract, or starting.

Meh. He's probably be kinda serviceable, but we have better guys on the roster already. Lane &/or Maxwell will be manning that position next season and will probably do a damn fine job of it.

Well, everyone agreed that Jennings could cover like glue but he just couldn't finish. Who knows, maybe he could learn from Richards coaching and leech off some swagger from the LOB. Also steroids.
