And I'm sure she's never taken any kickbacks either.

Humans shouldn't have this much control. It's ridiculous we don't have software and algorithms handling these tasks.
This has nothing to do with our state and has everything to do with inefficiency in our government.

A mistake isn't being warned of misuse and continuing to deliberately use her state-issued cards for further personal purchases. That's blatant misconduct.

This has nothing to do with our state and has everything to do with inefficiency in our government. This is a state government issue, it has everything to do with the state.

A little perspective here, please. Quote: The total amount of unauthorized purchases was $658.63. So, in charge of $10B, takes $700. Bad, but not trash the economy bad. I heard on the radio that she had her cards revoked and is being disciplined in other ways. I can live with that.

She was still stealing, so if it's on a small scale not being fired is alright when in that type of position? Good to know...

Anytime function (software, robotics, etc...) that replaces responsibilities/tasks away from humans eventually leads to lower wages and lost jobs for humans.

Someone has to maintain the robots... until robots start making other robots to do that. Agreed, 1 programmer and 1 maintenance worker could replace 10, 20 or more jobs. Saw this recently: http://www.columbiamissourian.com/m/41202/robot-paints-brake-drums/"In this Jan. 11 photo, a robot paints brake drums at Webb Wheel Products in Cullman, Ala. Webb Wheel hasn't added a factory worker in three years, though it's making 300,000 more drums annually, a 25 percent increase, because of robots. " -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- More here: http://djournal.com/view/full_story/21539821/article-The-Great-Reset---Recession--tech-kill-middle-class-jobs"—The most vulnerable workers are doing repetitive tasks that programmers can write software for — an accountant checking a list of numbers, an office manager filing forms, a paralegal reviewing documents for key words to help in a case. As software becomes even more sophisticated, victims are expected to include those who juggle tasks, such as supervisors and managers — workers who thought they were protected by a college degree. Not really. It leads to some jobs being removed and lower wages for some but there's a whole lot of us who would continue to make great money.

Not really. It leads to some jobs being removed and lower wages for some but there's a whole lot of us who would continue to make great money. So you are a capitalist! Lost jobs: http://djournal.com/view/full_story/21539821/article-The-Great-Reset---Recession--tech-kill-middle-class-jobsOf course I am. You confuse my need to provide the basics to other humans with socialism. I think everyone should be given an equal opportunity and at the same time we should leave those behind who want to be left behind. Making sure another human has a place to stay, food on the table, education and opportunity at their fingertips is just as important to me as a society that empowers the intelligent and driven.

Quoting your "You confuse my need to provide the basics to other humans with socialism. Making sure another human has a place to stay, food on the table, education and opportunity at their fingertips is just as important to me as a society that empowers the intelligent and driven." So from these statements I see that you must think its ok for her to use her state credit card for personal expenses. Glad you cleared that up.

Blah, blah, blhy......she was transferred to another department, stripped of her access to travel/expense cards. She's being punished enough IMHO. Have you ever taken a pen home from work?
