  • Yeah - I started watching it a few months ago on Netflix (up through season 2 anyway). Awesome show. I have season 3 (first half) on my DVR, but I haven't gotten to them yet.

  • Awesome show.

2nd season is meh compared to the first season and first half of the third.

I'd also suggest the Walking Dead episodic game by Telltale Games. Its comic book style but VERY awesome. I know its on Xbox and PC but i'm not sure about PS3.

The thing I like about show is how it doesn't completely follow the comic book, So even the comic book readers are in for some surprises.

Absolutely. The most important aspect of the comic is "no one is safe."

They captured that in the show perfectly by killing off characters who survived in the comic, and keeping other characters alive who died earlier in the comic.

  • It's a pretty brutal story line. I respect the HELL out of any book which just lies out horrific deaths for its main peep, seemingly at every turn. Kinda took the restraints of that medium and turned it on its head.

Dom, you're right, Carl SHOULD stay inside. So should you though.

For some reason I'm really enjoying Rick's descent into madness, I find it very entertaining. His flip-out in the middle of the group and scaring away the newcomers was awesome.

This should have been a 2 hour episode or been 2 separate episodes. The midseason finale was pretty epic and all that was left after it was Daryl/Merle stuff. I wont say any spoilers but that aspect of it ended too quickly. I understand the need for story setting episodes like this one, but for a 'premiere' it needed more juice. Hopefully next weeks picks right back up to the tension the previous few episodes had...it was really catching some steam.

Previews showed her walking into prison next week so she will be back. Awesome episode.... Hopefully it keeps this pace up to end the season. I'm curious as to how they'll play out the Governor for the rest.

  • I'm growing less and less fond of Rick. Like you all have said he's had the bewildered look and has been going bat shit insane.

I do like Daryl is back with the group however i've never like Merle much at all. Too much of a horses ass. Too unlikable as opposed to the other characters.

In my opinion the insanity hit when Dale went down. He was the original voice of reason and sanity in the group. Now look at what's happened since he went down.

The comics make the TV show look like Sesame Street.

  • I don't understand what they are doing with her character in the TV show... she is annoying.

Her character in the comics is so different.

    Spoilers below, don't look!! :D

In the comics she was bad-ass, pretty much by herself repelled the first invasion of the prison by the Governor, she's the best shot of Rick's group, give her a rifle up on the guard tower and she's a terror. Plus she was rockin' old man Dale. This whole story line where she's not at the prison but at Woodbury, being stupid and naive and sleeping with the Governor? What the hell?!!

  • I liked last nights episode as well. Was surprised they drove all the way to Rick and Carl's hometown, I figured they were further out than a few hour drive...

I think this episode reeled Rick back into reality seeing someone who was so far gone in Morgan and talking to Michonne about seeing dead people.

I feel like most people wanted Morgan to return with them, myself included, so I think a lot were bummed he stayed there. To Rick's point, it's quite the coincidence they both survived to this point and that they met again. Too bad Morgan was such a negative Nelly :p
