To say nothing of the fact that these rifles are both of the same caliber and firing methods:

Under this new proposed legislation, one would be banned; the other wouldn't. And they are essentially the same damn thing. But don't let facts get in the way of good tear-jerking rhetoric.

Oh, boy! Another gun thread!! Can't have enough of these.

What's with you folks? Can't come up with an original idea so it's "Another Gun Thread."

And now we're quoting Fox News...LOL!

The administrations desire to ban "assault Weapons" is really quite laughable. It's not going to save lives. There are more guns now than ever before in the US and gun crimes have been steadily dropping over the last few years. There is no statistical evidence that gun control reduces gun crime.

I didn't "go to Fox News" at all, I watched a youtube linked video in the PWR forum at Seahawks.net that happened to include a hot chick shooting guns.

Sorry but these facts have no place in this discussion. Apparently it doesn't matter if there are more guns now than ever and that gun violence is steadily dropping...because if we can save just one life, it's worth sacrificing any or all of our rights.

Paranoia, delusion, and gullibility seem to be the 3 traits most self proclaimed "gun nuts" seem to suffer from.

Well most of the folks on this thread think Sarah Palin is "hot", so that says quite a lot.

I think you are correct. Especially the hard-core so-called Patriot types that are itchin' to put their arsenal to use on anybody. Just give'em a reason. Yeah, I'd hate to be that guy. Wonder how much sleep they lose every night thinking about Obama and CO busting down their door to take it all away. What a way to live.

Sarah is HOT in a "I'm gonna ravage you because I don't respect you but you're good looking" sort of way.

That's your problem. Those with Hoplophobia-- Fear of weapons-- Ie. The mainstream media and others, think that gun owners are just "itchin' to shoot someone." That those with Conceal and carry permits are liable to just whip out a gun and start shooting at random.

Nothing could be further from the truth. 99% of gun owners are responsible poeple who take their personal safety seriously and would rather "Be Prepared" (scout motto) than find themselves in a situation without anyway of defending themselves. Why is this so hard to comprehend by "gun haters" is baffling. More poeple are killed every year by "blunt objects" than by "Assault weapons." The vast majority of killings are from handguns. Handguns which more than likely were acquired illegally.

Thinking that gun nuts are pseudo-Patriots with itchy trigger fingers and that gun control people are hoplophobic are equally prejudicial and ignorant. You can find both, but they are the exception not the rule. Its devisive. Don't let my blue touch your red.

I think the self proclaimed "gun nutters" paranoia is misplaced. They might need to lace up their Nike's a little tighter and work on their 40 times, Obama isn't going to take their guns but he may send a drone strike after 'em.
