Not according to Pete. He admitted to gambling but place all the beta on the team prior to season starting knowing they would win more than lose. Don't think anything else has been proven

I am surprised this is allowed. Searched around a bit and can't find anything against it BUT

Refs can't gamble PERIOD in anything during season and has to report when gambling off-season with 24 hours

Players were reprimanded / punished for being a part of investing into a future casino...

Where's Pete Rose when you need him?

Same thing that came to mind for me, but didn't Pete Rose Bet against his own team, in a game he was playing in ?

I don't think they officially determined that but betting on any games is strictly prohibited and I'd an automatic ban. Either way that's MLB not NFL so enough of Pete Rose.

the first tweet just says he was winning money, which means he could be on the slots or at a table gettin' it poppin since he was texting I'll assume he was on the slots. The second tweet, okay you might have something, but was he making the bet amongst his friends? or was he making this bet with the bookies at the casino, that's the only question I have here.

Betting on games has always been against the rules. For years all gambling of any kind was prohibited.NFL even stopped NFL players from playing in a charity poker event.I think that rule has been changed though.
With Goodall and his "protect the shield" policy he could try to ban Sherman on conduct violations.
If the NFL proves a player gambled on NFL games I bet he is looking at a year ban.

Sherm's smart enough to stay away from bookies. My bet is he said that to rile up Patriot fans. Non issue IMHO.

From the
Legue Policies for Players (synopsis)
http://www.nflevolution.com/wordpress/w ... 1-5081.pdf

NFL Gambling Policy
• NFL players and coaches cannot take bribes to throw or fix a game. Playing or
coaching at less than the very best and being paid to do so is against the law and a
major violation of NFL policy.
• Any attempts to bribe a player or coach, or knowledge of attempted bribes, must be
reported immediately.
• League employees (players, coaches, and staff) are prohibited from betting on any
NFL game.
• Associating with gamblers or gambling activity is against NFL policy.
• Endorsing or promoting gambling, even if the gambling is legal, is against NFL policy.
This includes cruise or casino appearances

I'm sure it's been said somewhere else, but I find it funny that if the NFL has a policy against players gambling that they have ads for casinos in the stadiums...

All he has to say is that he was just making comments to troll Patriots fans, which might actually be the case.

People want to act as Sherman's lawyer but Sherman is just asking for trouble here. It is simply Stupid. Why invite scrutiny?

Sherman needs to do two things.

- Shut up

- Find Largent80's bookie, because I bet he could have got like +2000 odds on the Ravens to cover.

That's what I'm thinking, probably a personal bet with a friend. I doubt the NFL could (or would) do anything about that.

And knowing how much Sherman likes to talk, he may not even be in Vegas.

The fact that this site is the only one talking about this lets you know that its a non issue. We have officially entered the off season..

He took a pic with the Mexican Bumble Bee...he's in Vegas.

And why delete this thread? It's not like the NFL hasn't noticed his tweets if there's an issue there.

I have seen it on at least three other sites

Sherman just triumphed over the league but Godell doesn't seem like a guy to hold a grudge....

This is majorly stupid assuming that player conduct still holds up and this thread is irrelevant the tweets are forever...
