On September 11, 2012 Americans were attacked and killed In Benghazi, Libya. We were first given a bs story about a video causing it, but the president finally said that those responsible would be brought to justice. To this date the only "justice" to happen was putting the maker of the video behind bars. Meanwhile, those responsible for the attack move freely and continue to wreak havoc in the region.
December 14, a mentally unstable man shoots his mother and many more at Sandy Hook Elementary school, taking his own life in the process. One month later (Wednesday, January 16, 2013) President Obama is set to make public more gun restrictions to supposedly make our children safer and from the sounds of it will circumvent Congress to do so by executive order.
Why is it that when it fits his agenda, he can get things done in a hurry, but when it doesn't, he seems to take forever getting something done?

It didn't take that long to jail that bs video guy. That happened in a couple of days.

Umm... what kind of legislation do you expect him to pass regarding those involved with Benghazi? Are you expecting the President to attack Libya?
These are two very different events you're trying to pull together because... I don't know. It's such a stretch.

Voting for Obama for me, was like voting for 75-80% suckage, as opposed to the 90-95% that is Romney. I doubt we will ever again see a president like FDR, Eisenhower, Jack Kennedy (none of which I lived to see). With corporate money what it is in politics, the only choice is the degree of corruption ti would seem.

Dubya's administration, and specifically "Turd Blossom", outing an undercover CIA agent is perfectly reasonable? Made up intelligence to start a war, one which essentially bankrupted the country, yet produced zero results so far as keeping us safe, well that's just fine too? Oh and conservative myth Reagan (not at all the man most conservatives wish he was and I did live through that, saw it for myself), and his administration sold guns to Iran to fund Contra rebels, well that's just awesome too! Yep, Obama, is clearly the only bad guy here!

I love how you always become the bitchy little drama queen who makes shit up about what I think. Did I ever say it was right and acceptable? Nope, don't recall as I did, though I am sure that's what you heard, You're very skilled at that. At least you're good at being wrong.

But Obama came out and said it was terror, clearly, after the fact and does not still maintain that it was due to a video. But that doesn't matter, he is clearly still lying. Even though he's not. Has there been justice? Hell no and that's fucked up, but what do you do as president? Move the attackers up on the Government hit list and try to prevent future attacks is about all we can do. Unless we think ANOTHER war is a good idea.

Oh, and BTW, where is the outrage that Obama, and Holder, have not prosecuted any bankers? Where's that outrage, because all things considered, I think that hurt a few more folks then this relative triviality.

Where's that outrage, because all things considered, I think that hurt a few more folks then this relative triviality. First, as you were quoting me, I reworded my post because I thought you might take it wrong, so go back and re-read it. My intention of that post was to question why you are ok with talking about things past president's have done wrong, but you feel that because they did wrong, somehow we are accepting it as ok....I have posted many times that I disagreed with a lot of things that Bush did as president, and I've had issues with probably every president at some point in their administration. The fact that all administrations screw up doesn't mean I can't point out issues within the current administration. If that is how you want to operate, that's fine, but when a republican gets into office, just remember, you should at least stay consistent and not bitch about what they do when they screw up. Me personally, I'm going to feel free to bitch about any president whenever they fuck up. Hey, if you want to bring up some issues that you feel are important to bitch about with this administration, feel free to go right ahead and start a thread, I'm sure there will be debate in there as well. Of course that does go against your above mentioned policy of not complaining about this administration, since all administrations screw up. Finally, TRIVIAL? You think that extremists attacking an American diplomat and killing himself and other Americans is trivial? I'm pretty sure that says a lot more about you than just about anything else you've ever posted around here. Glad to know you think that was trivial.

We have the capability to go get them. They aren't in hiding, but yet we've done absolutely nothing. This is more than just him covering up his lies. The man said that justice would be done, yet he's shown no seriousness in getting justice for this act.

And another thing, the guy that made that anti-Muslim video was a dickhead that did break the law. Does it matter how you are caught if you break the law? All you patriots are backing that turd up, I don't understand why. He wasn't responsible, but that arrest made headlines and reached the other side of the world, showing that the US does not allow anti-Muslim hate. At least that's the story they were fed. That arrest very well may have saved lives. Obama threw our enemies a frickin' bone instead of adding fuel to the fire just by arresting an already criminal. That was a good move, IMO. kidhawk wrote: War? Who do you declare war on? Libya didn't attack them. It was a group of terrorists. We know who they are and we know where they are. You're nothing if not entirely predictable. Perhaps it is you who needs some "re-reading". Somehow you missed the word "relative", that came before triviality. Terrorists attacking Americans on foreign soil is a triviality compared to banks destroying millions of lives here on American soil, with the full backing of our government. If I lived in most of the countries we exploit, I'd probably want to attack us too. I doubt that's a concept you'd be capable of grasping. Further, in such places, these things should be expected, we see it all the time, but for our government to allow the wanton destruction of property by gas and oil drilling companies, to let banks fleece us, then expect a handout from us so they can resume their same old same old in new more innovative ways, with no punishment at all, well a few Americans killed in a place where we've been bitter enemies for years, well to me, in a relative way it's trivial. Relative triviality, does not equal triviality. It's like, saying that the internment of Japanese Americans was every bit as bad as Nazi death camps. It was horrible, but by comparison, it was relatively trivial. Understand now? Aw fuck who am I kidding, OF COURSE YOU DON'T! So why do I bother trying to explain...?!?

Afghanistan (the Taliban) were harboring OBL and allowing AQ to train within it's borders. They were not cooperative with us. Libya has not been uncooperative with us. You don't declare war on a country for something out of the governing body's control Although I thought we could have gotten OBL without going to war, the situation is completely different.

Death is never trivial when compared to being broke. Let's at least be serious here. Which would you rather happen to your family member, lose their home or get dragged in the streets and killed?
