Here is the list of the 15 finalists for the Hall of Fame. Only six can get in at the maximum. If you had a vote who would you vote for:

Warren Sapp (DL)
Michael Strahan (DL)
Jonathan Ogden (OL)
Larry Allen (OL)
Tim Brown (WR)
Cris Carter (WR)
Andre Reed (WR)
Jerome Bettis (RB)
Wil Shields (OL)
Bill Parcells (Coach)
Kevin Greene (LB)
Charles Haley (DE/LB)
Dave Robinson (LB)
Curley Culp (DT)
Aeneas Williams (CB/S)
Edward DeBartolo, Jr. (Owner)
Art Modell (Owner)

My Six: Cris Carter, Bill Parcells, Jonathan Ogden, Kevin Greene, Michael Strahan and Tim Brown

I'd take Charles Haley over Tim Brown. Seriously, what has Tim Brown done?

Is that a joke? 14,934 yards (5th most all time, 2nd only to Jerry Rice when he retired), 100 touchdowns (7th, 3rd), 1,094 receptions (5th, 3rd), won a Super Bowl, and was in the Pro Bowl nine times. I'd say that's a pretty damn good resume.

This looks fair enough to me, Haley possibly being the weakest candidate to me.

But, c'mon, Bettis? If he gets in and Terrell Davis doesn't, there is no justice.

I'd take your six, toss ogden and add Eddie DeBartelo cause he was the man in his day. If the NFL hadn't been after him they would probably have won 4-5 more championships. It was easy to like the ninnirs in those days, unlike now.

Ogden better make it. Somehow I see him and Walt splitting votes next year if he doesn't.

Haley was a beast for two teams. he is not weak.

I juzt meant out of the six. I suppose you're right he is no weaker a candidate than Strahan, and a lot of people are down on Tim Brown for the HoF (although I think he should make it). I just remember Haley as a one trick pony, and he had very good linemen inside of him which freed him up to chase the QB. He wasn't Reggie White or Bruce Smith level dominant.

Strahan had a pretty damn good supporting cast in NY, Haley did it pretty much first as a situational rusher, both in S.F. and Dallas. The thing is when he was in he changed the dynamics of what was going on and would abuse people.
